Yesterday afternoon Bar 44 Cowbridge were chuffed to host the Welsh squad enjoying some well deserved celebratory drinks. Grandslam winners 2019, still can't quite believe it!

WOW - what a day! You smashed it Wales - so proud. We have the perfect cure for your hangover - Sharing roast platters the 44 way... truffled manchego cauliflower cheese, j├Īmon fat roasties, rosemary, garlic & thyme, crispy hispi cabbage, j├Īmon butter, overnight roast cider belly pork with apple and sage or SIrloin of WELSH beef with chorizo yorkshire puds.

We have got it all going on today, breakfast in Cowbridge from 10am, new menu in Cowbridge and Penarth. Rumour has it, belly pork is back and crab toasts have arrived in Penarth! New menu starting in Cowbridge tonight, this is one of our favourites - fresh mackerel on the grill, salmorejo, escabeche - yum! Crispy belly pork with apple ajo blanco and honey is back as is the featherblade of beef with truffled manchego. Pop in and see us!

we were with you last weekend from Italy in Cowbridge.....you are wonderful in all aspects food, service and drinks....cant wait to be with you again..thanks especely to a lovely gentleman from Poland who was extremely nice to us......thanks to Lorna Oakley who took us there..

we arrived on a Saturday night, it was absolutely full up, reserved tables everywhere but we weren't going to be long and were able to grab a table thanks to the wonderful staff! Food delicious, will definitely go again when more time on hands and make sure I have reservation!

Wow! We came last night for our Christmas meal. We had a table of 20 and we were extremely pleased with our tapas. We had great wine and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff were excellent and cannot fault anything at all. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended indeed.

Would like to say a big 'thank you' to you all. I don't tolerate garlic very well and you were so kind taking the time to find out what were the best things for me to eat. As a result I had fantastic food to eat without worrying. Thank you so much

The best tapas I have ever had! Absolutely gorgeous food, so tasty and so many options. Adam and the team at Cowbridge are absolutely fantastic, they couldn't be more accommodating or polite! Would 100% recommend it to everybody, plus Harry the bartender makes an amazing Sangria. Will be going again very soon!

Had a group meal in the private room upstairs on Saturday - amazing food and the staff looked after us extremely well!! Have never had a bad experience here and have had many, many visits since Bar44 first arrived in Cowbridge back in the day. Thanks again for making it an excellent night for us - itŌĆÖs not often we all manage to be in the same place at the same time!

Fantastic evening yesterday for New Years Eve, top draw from start to finish! Cava & canap├®s on arrival (oooo that pea crostini!) followed by so much tasty food I'm still full the day after. The cod & the chicken were a highlight and the whole menu had been well thought through.



The staff were brilliant & helped to make it such a good night. The atmosphere was buzzy and everyone dancing at the end of the evening made it great fun!



The DJ was a great touch and really added to the celebrations! Thanks for a fab night - here's to the next one!

Called yesterday before the Wales Ireland game and again after the match, from the guys on the door to the bar staff and floor staff all very friendly and great service. Will defo call again

An impromptu evening, you accommodated us even though you were busy. They are the most authentic tapas I've tasted outside of Spain. Lovely staff, great atmosphere, amazing food and drink! Can't wait to come back.

Location good signage poor .Food average had a lot better at Isabella in porthcawl and Bridgend so bit disappointing for my birthday dinner . Waiter not to knowledgable fumbeld is explanation of dishes overall restaurant decent interior just overall not great.

Bar44 - Cardiff - the food itself was really nice but it took ages to get all of the dishes that we ordered because they were so busy. The staff weren't very friendly and although they knew in advance that we were a hen party of eight we were told to keep the noise down twice by a very rude member of staff. We weren't being any louder than any other table. It was noisy in the bar anyway with music playing and people laughing / having a good time. Generally very disappointing.
