The whole experience was going really well untill we had to wait over 40 minutes for our desserts to come as only one member of staff was serving , not the waitress fault but poor management .

Waited 01 hour 45 minutes for food. Another table enjoyed a three course meal while we had nothing.

The on tap lager is disgusting, really watered down. When the food eventually came it was over cooked. 'Home made gravy' may have been home made, but not in that building. It looked and tasted like it fell out of a jar.

We stopped going here a few years ago due to the poor food. Looks like it hasn't changed.

The staff were nice but I didn't appreciate hearing the chef moaning about customers complaining about bad food.

We won't be going back.

Went on recommendation for Sunday dinner since the change of ownership. The atmosphere was good and staff friendly. The meal was poor. A frozen Yorkshire pudding was served but quickly rectified. I would not go back in a hurry. To be fair it.was very busy and some reviews are a lot better than this so perhaps we just got unlucky.

since their take over it has excelled. great for kids with a park and on times an outdoor bouncy castle. lots of outdoor seating and now also do outdoor movies. live peacocks wander the beergarden and surrounding area. lovely atmosphere, one of my favourite places to go for food and drinks with the family

Food is just ok (not great) but they always take a very long time to serve your food and you'll wait a while at the bar too. The garden and general feel of the place is nice and there are peacocks.

Waited 5 minutes before anyone appeared from the kitchen to seat is in an empty restaurant.

When ordering lasagna apparently chips do not come with it so you have to order at an extra cost.

Beer was watered down and when our food arrived the popadom was so greasy I was waiting for john travolta to turn up with Olivia Newton John.

We were sat near the kitchen so we could hear the complaints from the kitchen staff including the manager saying that if the other table were dragging it out then for the waitress to kick them out.

Overall I would not return here as this is the second bad experience I’ve had here.

Friendly staff, but really casual. We had to get our own menus then order at the bar. Probably best to choose from menus on wall around bar as they seemed better options than regular menu. Food was okay - simpler would probably have tasted better. Lovely outdoor space as well. Seems clean.
