Number TWO of the day for our Volunteers.
At 14.59 our pagers went off,
... An inflatable Kayak with 2 persons in, had left Whitmore bay.
They went out and got caught in the rip current, dragging them West.
With the assistance of Barry dock ILB, they made their way back into the Old Harbour and were met by our team. Suitable safety advice was given.
If you plan to enter the Sea, Please always have Lifejackets, Mobile phone or VHF radio and a means of attracting attention if you find your self in difficulty. And consider if the craft you are in, is safe.
The Sun is out, But Please always be safe near and around our Beaches and Coastline .

This morning at 00.00 hrs, Our team were paged.
Torch lights had been seen at The Water Activity centre, The Mole Barry.
... Our team carried out a full search of the area and found 3 people in different places, fishing.
With help from South Wales police they were removed and the area locked back up.
Please be aware this location is private property.
