This is an astonishing place to visit, a real alternative to Blackpool and other resorts of diminishing interest. A real find, with a variety of shows and rides, sideshows, food stands and entertainment, public restrooms and lovely beaches

Well if you are into traditional slightly tacky British holidays then this is the place for you. The chip shops sell great fish and chips. The amusement park is great for kids and those of us that have yet to grow up!! There are many places to stay hotels and guest houses a plenty. The beach is very clean. So if you are Gavin or Stacey go visit Barry.

Since the re-opening of the pleasure park by henry danter the fun fair has reduced in size as they have introduced a little car park which isn't needed as there is a car park less than a minute walk away.

The fun fair has a decent range of rides but not a lot of space.

As for the arcade connected its pretty run down with the flooring being pretty unstable.

At the bottom of fun fair there is a low laying part where in the rain it floods.

Overall its okay for teenagers but for young families with 5's and under I think you better stick to the beach.

Still looks a bit run down. Some really extreme rides and plenty of gentle ones too. Expensive, as these places are. Overall a fun place. Disappointed they seem to have forgotten about Gavin and Stacey

The beach is clean there's a nice amount of cafe's and shops (bit of a rip off to be honest selling £1 shop stuff at twice the price)! But what let's it down for me is the rude can't be bothered impolite staff on the sea front and hyper value shop. If you don't want a job in retail give it up! There's plenty of people willing to take your place, otherwise shape up and learn some manners and people skills!

Currently being revamped. Personally I love a fair at the island. The ground is uneven in places but the kids don't care. Lots of variety of rides and fun for all. Can be a bit expensive with tickets for a big family

Wonderful family place. My mum came here as a child, I came as a child then came with my children now my grandkids. Well done Barry for still being there. Really clean well kept beach. Loads of coffee shops and chip places. Alcohol free zone and they making some great improvements to the Fair ground. Fantastic friendly fun filled place.

It was like travelling back in time to childhood holidays. Just a nice mix of beach, funfair, arcades and chip shops with out all the rubbish of some bigger places. It's not a big place but my kids loved it and I will definitely return another day. There was a car park that charged £1 for an hour or £5 for the day. I was told that another car park nearer the fair let you pay a £1 an hour so you could do £2 or £3 for equivalent time. We didn't try the fair but on the front is a few kids rides and trampolines and my girls were happy with that. All in all a great day out and definitely down for a revisit on other day :-)

The Pleasure Park has great rides including a Ferris wheel that looks out over the channel, the beach is just a few moments away and there are lots of nice cafes and chip shops about the place. Easy to spend a day here with the kids.
