"After taking a break from music to focus on new goals I was very fortunate to be asked to sing at a wedding ceremony two weeks ago. It proved to be a useful reminder of how much I love playing my guitar and having a nice little āsing-songā now and then, so here I am, doing it again this Sunday at the very, very lovely Barry Sidings Cafe.
Come down, bring your best heckles and have a beer and one of Jamie Rowlandās awesome burgers while youāre at it. Just like me, itās both child and dog friendly...and very much unlike me, itās bloody beautiful too."
Our #pulledporkfries with #meltedcheese is š #barrrysidingscafe
What a nice new find, I only live a stones throw away and I didnāt know this was here.
Very nice cafe and the park is beautiful with good walking/bike tracks up the mountain ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½ #BarrySidingsCafe
We always walk our dog up the forestry, we decided to have lunch there yesterday. It was very busy there, so a bit of a wait, but that's to be expected. The food is more than cafe standard and very reasonably priced. All three of us really enjoyed our meals ļæ½
Visited today with my son jesse. It was lovely to see so many people in there with their dogs, Jesse loved watching the dogs playing together. I had a coffee and Jesse had a burger and chips, he said it was the best burger he's ever tasted!!
Friendly staff and lovely cafe. Well done guys!!!
Visited this place today. Great coffee, meals and tasty snacks available. A warm welcome is guaranteed. They have done something truly amazing with this place 10/10. Well worth visiting ļæ½ļæ½
The best burger I've ever had! Chips with melted cheese were amazing! Never had better chips in Wales before! Prices are very reasonable! You can eat in or out. Beautiful, relaxing park around. This place is a gem! Highly recommended!
Such a fab little place. We popped in today for some lunch after having seen how lovely the food looked on our last visit, when we just had coffee and ice creams, and was surprised by an awesome acoustic set by The Sinners going on. The atmosphere was cracking and my family absolutely loved the food. Tasty, different, awesomely presented and reasonably priced. The only thing I'd like to see is a veggie burger option. Being a vegetarian I could only have a cheese toastie. Definitely will be coming back to sample your breakfast menu ļæ½
Lovely staff! Was there on Saturday 30th June and the staff were really kind and helpful. When we were sitting down outside, a lad working at the Ice cream counter, comes out to clear the tables and asks us if we had any rubbish he could take off our hands - something I'd expect at a restaurant yes but not outside in a park cafe. Then, after paddling in the stream that runs along side the cafe, I was struggling to get my shoes on and must have been slightly vocal about it because a woman closing the cafe asked me if I needed plasters - presuming I had blisters, she was happy to reopen to go in and get some for me. I gratefully told her I didn't need them - the problem, with getting my shoes on, was my pregnancy bump not blisters š but how thoughtful was that of her to ask?! Ice cream was lovely - a welcome treat to cool us down after a relaxing, but warm, stroll through the park. I love the graffiti woodland scene decorating the womens toilets and the rustic pallet furniture gives the cafe a modern community vibe. Tables outside are in a selection of sunny or shaded positions. Was really surprised not to see more people at Barry Sidings on a sunny Saturday, it's a shame the natural beauty spots we have locally aren't made more use of. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
Lovely little stop on our walk! Staff are really friendly, food and coffee is great and thereās always a nice social atmosphere ļæ½ļæ½ weāll be back every week!
Lovely little find in a great spot! Friendly helpful staff and delicious food and ice creams! We take our Granddaughter at least once a week. She loves it...
It was our first visit since the new take over, good service and food was to a high standard and reasonable priced.
I love this place so much 11 years ago me and my husband went on our Second date here and we are so over the moon that the cafe is back open again
Had the Hot Burger ļæ½ with cheesy chips ļæ½ very good and I loved the set up and where this gem is #BarrySidings. Absolutely great, just one observation - the bike ļæ½ hire seemed expensive and potentially out of reach for some families!
Had a lovely morning out today with my little family. My son loved being on his bike, even when he fell off and cut his elbow on the pump track. The guys in the cafe were fab cleaning him up and even had a free ice cream for being so brave ļæ½ awesome service
Fantastic food my daughter had burger and chips up there earlier today and it's was great would highly recommend it. It's local to us and we spend a lot of time up there.
Weāve eaten here twice and had coffee a few times. The food is lovely, and very reasonably priced. It would be five stars, but there is only one veggie burger option, which is a little disappointing when there are so many meat burgers!
Very warm welcome when we visited Saturday even if it was for the Frenchies! So nice to have somewhere that is truly dog friendly for a change. Nice coffee and snacks. Only criticism is that for disabled clients the car parking is a fair walk although it is flat. Will certainly go again.
Really nice breakfast - especially the bacon and black pudding were fantastic. I donāt eat eggs and it was annoying that I had to pay for eggs I canāt eat yet wasnāt offered anything else as a substitute. It would be good if that policy was changed.
Coffee was ok. Iām a black coffee drinker and find Americanoās disappointing. āTake an espresso then dilute out all the flavour.ā! You could taste it was fine coffee but Iād suggest offering a good filter coffee to their menu.
Great place to meet for families with young children. Plenty of good food, hot/cold drinks and ice cream. Thereās a childrenās park, large play area and a small bike track. You donāt have to have young children to enjoy yourselves. Just pop along for a walk and give the cafe a go. Give it a try you wonāt be disappointed.
Barry Sidings Breakfast, too big for me, but could do with the toast on the side :) Will be back for a good feed up. The cakes looked stunning
