An exciting new attraction has been added to Cardiff Bay’s Doctor Who Experience after the hit show’s studios were opened up to fans for the first time ever.

Roath Lock provides a permanent home to three flagship dramas - Doctor Who, Casualty and Pobol y Cwm.
The studios form the BBC's largest drama production centre in the UK, part of the Porth Teigr project in Cardiff's former docklands

went on the TARDIS tour on 4th May 2017 and loved it. was the 2nd time I did it and it was just as amazing. the staff were really friendly. just wish I remembered the name of the woman who took my little group in the TARDIS and took a couple of pictures of us, as I would of liked to have thanked her and mentioned her name

nice people and lovely welcoming thanks a lot

Worked here a fair bit on different productions. Great facility, lovely staff, and a rather nice canteen.

Went to the Studios for the Tardis Tour yesterday!! What an amazing time!! We were made to feel really welcome and the Tour Guides were amazing!! It was so hard not t touch any of the shiny buttons or levers!!



The staff knew their stuff!!



Shame this will be the last tour due to the experience closing down!!

Went to see the Dr who studio tour. Done the Dr who experience first.

Well worth a visit (whatever time stream or universe you're from) Interactive for the little ones and nostalgic for the more mature! Try and visit during a time when set visits are also available and you will be able to step inside the actual TARDIS!!

Was lucky enough to get tickets for the Tardis set tour. Loved it. This could so easily have been all about making money but we were made to feel special (and not in a take the micky out of the scifi geek way). The large group was split into groups of 6 and we all got plenty of time on the set for tons of photos. A dalek and the police box were also in the studio for photo opportunities. All the staff were enthusiastic and friendly and really made the hour something special. Thank you to everyone (including the security guys at the front desk) for a wonderful time. It really is worth it if you get the chance.

Was Privileged to go on the Studio tour. The guides were great, and knowledgeable.

It was worth the extra money to see the actual sound stage they use on Doctor Who.

It has always been an amazing time working on BBC set.

I went to the Pobyl Y Cwm studios and had a fab tour. Unlike other tours we were allowed to walk around on our own,we were encouraged to open drawers and sit on sofas and chairs as we wanted. It was all free and very enjoyable

I was on the TARDIS Tour in studio 4 with my wife and 2 grandsons. Staff are fantastic. We loved every minute of it.

Had a wonderful day in the sets of Pobol y Cwm. Guides were so helpful and knowledgeable and couldn't do enough to help.

It was fascinating to see how everything works.

We also lucky enough to see some of the people from casualty too, as the were filming on the day We were there.

Would love to go back again.
