We have Vegan nutritionist Gareth Zeal visiting Beanfreaks this week - Gareth is an expert on vegan nutrition, vegan sports nutrition, and all aspects of health and well being. Beanfreaks has been one of the leaders in UK natural product retailing for decades and the praise-worthy reputation is very well deserved. Love this shop. Always buy a smoothie when I'm in cardiff. staff are very friendly and always willing to help. when you're in Cardiff make sure you try the detox warrior smoothie...was lush.

Just had the most delicious smoothies from Beanfreaks for our lunch. I went for the Coconut Mocha Special of the Day & Hubby decided on the Refuel! Both were incredibly tasty & extremely filling! Thank you! We will be back & the 5 Day Juice Detox is now on my wish list ’┐Į xxx

Great shop for vegans, also tried the "green nirvana" green smoothie the other day at the bar and it was lvoely and kinda similar to the green smoothies I like to make at home, I was very impressed you could buy a homemade green smoothie, I have very bad stomach and digestive problems so to be able to buy a healthy smoothie while out is really cool. Nice one Beanfreaks. :)

Absolutely loved the Hercules smoothie!! Brilliant alternatives for a better lifestyle...it's good to see! Will go back again... And again... And again...And again.... always.

Sell lots of vegan stuff which is great and the staff in the Albany road store are super friendly and helpful, however this is not my experience almost evert time I go to the Cardiff Central store. Staff are rude, to customers and each other, very weird environment and it makes me avoid it if possible.

Well it is an amazing shop with excellent staff, but my smoothie experiences have been going down hill rapid. First one I had just over a week ago was amazing - so impressed. Next time the same one tasted entirely different. The third time it tasted ok. Today - my fourth visit, I waited 10 minutes to be given one that didn't have all the right ingredients. I was told it would have lemon rather than lime, which I said was ok but then when it was handed to me I was told it didn't have greens in it??? Tasted awful. I was offered another alternate which was ok but then ended up being in the store for over 15 minutes to get one drink. Sorry guys, but at ┬Ż3.95 a drink i'll be giving it a miss in future. Shame. Real shame.

This shop sells Shark cartilage which promotes the continued overfishing of endangered shark species. I was pretty gutted that a supposed 'health conscious living' shop gives no regards to actual conscious issues. Massive thumbs down from me.
