Private tutoring in Maths and Physics for Secondary, GCSE and A-level students! Get a head start before the new school term begins!

Personal Description:

I am a recent graduate of the University of Exeter with a Master of Physics degree. Currently living in Carmarthenshire, I’m hoping to spend the next few months helping students in my local region develop their maths and physics skills. A polite, friendly and enthusiastic individual, who gets immense satisfaction from helping students unlock their full potential and gain confidence within these two difficult subjects.

Tutoring Experience:

For 3 years, I was a STEM Ambassador, a DBS checked individual who promotes the STEM subjects in a variety of ways. My contribution was through my secondary school, where I organised and led revision sessions for sixth form Physics students. I taught and explained basic Physics theory at AS-level during exam seasons.
Additionally, I've had tutoring experience with the new GCSE Mathematics syllabus, which involves the new Numeracy unit.

Tutoring Approach:

Both maths and physics can be daunting subjects to learn, but confidence is key. Explaining methods and techniques through exam style questions I feel is one of the best forms of learning. This allows crucial practice of the problems at hand, but also allows students to experience the style of questions that will appear on their exams. With my advanced knowledge of both subjects, I will hopefully possess alternative techniques to particular problems if students are struggling to understand the methods taught within their academic institution.
