Benar Beach Camping & Touring Park

Nice basic family site.

Great location, basic facilities but has everything you need. David did show me showers but he was checking the last people had left it clean so I could have a clean shower. Beach is fantastic and lots to do locally. David the owner is very helful and resolves any problems you have in order to enjoy your holiday. He has his rules which he ensures are followed in order to make the site a very happy peaceful one. Great place to get away and relax

We went there summer holidays 2016. I went on my own with son and three grandchildren. I met the owner David straight away who was very friendly and helpful. Another family helped us set up which was great. We met some great families, very friendly. We was lucky because the weather was absolutely beautiful. Kids loved it! A very short walk to the sand dunes and beautiful surroundings and beach I couldn't get the kids out of the sea. It's about a ten minute walk to the shop, chippy and a great family pub.
We had some great days out to Barmouth, Harlech Castle, shell Island, all of which are local.
Yes the site is basic but has all we needed and I absolutely loved the fact that it was so quiet at night. We was all tucked up by 10/11pm with no disturbances.
We definitely going back this year and so looking forward to it.

Took the kids for a little break great host down side I had to pay for a shower upside beautiful views not far from a shop

Beautiful location, nice beach, all amenities within walking distance and a reasonable price.
Sadly, the owner of this campsite is a raving mad lunatic... Children are not allowed to fly kites here (My son was told off) and we were pulled up numerous times by the owner for bizarre and trivial reasons like how he'd written our receipt out in pencil and wanted us to find it and take it back to the office so he could rub it out and go over it in biro!
He also insisted on accompanying me and showing me how the ladies toilets and showers worked although I informed him I am quite familiar with the concept of toilets and showers (being 32 and a regular camper) but he showed me anyway and told me I should use the middle shower cubicle (they were all vacant and in working order!)
It goes on, honestly you couldn't make this stuff up..... I went into a portaloo to get some tissue and blow my nose and when I came out he was stood behind the door asking me what I was doing!!!
It's all quite hilarious now we're home but not really what you need on holiday, the one star reflects the way the site is run and not the location, there are other campsites nearby which we might try next time and would suggest others do the same if travelling to this area.

Booked to stay on this site with electric hook up, turned up and was told no space with electric, the guy then kept asking why we needed electric as if we needed to explain why. When we said we will find somewhere else he all of a sudden had space. We was also told on the phone that we could pay for 3 nights but the guy in a very arsey manner said we have to pay for the full week upfront.... I would avoid this site at all cost.

Have stayed here 3 times previously, will not be returning as the owner was so rude today. Cannot now recommend this campsite as would be doing any prospective campers a disservice by ruining their holiday.
