Bendi-Gedig

Today for our wilderness day we have been developing our independence, we helped to get ourselves ready and even prepared our own snacks. We spent time in the woods looking for natural resources and created our own wilderness crowns. We splashed in the river, found dandelions to blow and collected some sticks to bring back to nursery to help create our bug hotel. We listened to the incey wincey spider story and even caught one in our bug catcher. We counted its legs and sang some songs before letting him go back to his home. WeŌĆÖve had another super day!

We have had another brilliant day exploring the outdoors. This week we have been learning about bees, how to look after them in the environment and what they make for us. We have been hunting for mini beasts in the nature reserve and found bumble bees, butterflies and woodlice. We used our magnifying glasses to see closer and also practised our skills using tweezers to pick up objects. We stopped for a well earned rest and enjoyed honey on toast and a play on the pirate ship, then spent the rest of the day planting flowers that bees like and creating our very own bee house and garden. We all had so much fun!

Second week of our Wilderness Programme. Today we had so much fun, even in the rain. We spent today looking out for our wildlife and exploring our environment. We jumped in puddles, found flowers and bugs and even saw some ducks. We created our very own bird feeders to place around the wern for the birds to eat and listened carefully to the songs they were singing in the trees. We have all had a fantastic day!

First day of our Wilderness Programme. We have spent the day learning about our environment and explored the beach all morning. We discovered a lot of litter on the beach and decided to do something about it. We were very good at spotting the things that shouldnŌĆÖt be there and even found some smelly socks! We found lots of plastics and straws and made sure we picked them up to keep the wildlife safe. We even chased a few seagulls too. When we got back to nursery we sorted the items into recycling boxes. We have worked really hard today and also had lots of fun being on the beach for the day. We canŌĆÖt wait for next week!

Bendi's Nursery launches it's Wilderness Programme on Wed 1st May.... While we love getting out and about on a daily basis, we cant wait to get started with this extension to our outdoor play and learning.... Please get in touch to join our Tribe! xxx

We have had lots more interest in opening our nursery and holiday club on a Saturday!!! We can provide fun exciting childcare for children from 3 months to 12 years. (8am-6pm) We would love to know if you require this service and how often I.e every other Saturday, Just the summer holidays. I believe we are the only CIW registered childcare in gwynedd to offer Saturday??... Please share to anyone you think may need this.
