We had a Valentine dinner, spa, and a double room and I must say everything is 100% the staff are outstanding at what they do, the food was amazing and the room is very nice :) i million percent recommend this place :)

Stayed here a few times getting married here next year :-D

Received excellent customer service from hotel management for the planning of a family funeral gathering (7/12/2017).

With over 50 family members attending, the carvery offered ample food and is deservent of 5 stars. Staff were very helpful and always at hand.

The Diplomat is a short driving distance from the Llanelli Crematorium.

My eldest daughter had her 18th birthday party in Best Western Diplomat last 7th of October. It wouldn't have been possible without the endless help and assistance of Ms Royal and all the staff and most especially to Ms Giorgina. Thank you for all your cooperation! Everyone enjoyed the party thoroughly. The place was perfect! Highly recommend for any event!

Me and my husband have stayed here a number of times . Every time we had no complaints staff were lovely, room was spotless and the spa was amazing also the food in the restaurant was the best I've ever eaten. Just what we were looking for a nice relaxing weekend away . We will return very soon

Lovely afternoon tea for my friends 40th birthday, really friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us and plenty of food, would recommend and will definitely return �

I live in the heart of Llanelli and the dip has been my go-to place for food and drink. I have started getting to know the staff and they are lovely. The trainee barman is good at his job, he is friendly and he is great for a chat. The chef I spoke to on the carvery in trubshaws is funny and very polite.

The food: great

The drink: fantastic

The service (with a smile): priceless

I have used the Diplomat on many occasions. Firstly a Hen do in the spa. The facilities were great and our lunch was beautiful. After that experience we went to Trubshaws restaurant for a celebratory meal and the food was outstanding. We go there as often as we can for a meal now. I can't praise them enough.

Excellent evening at the Felinfoel annual dinner last night.

The Diplomat excelled its self once again.

Our meal and service was second to none.

Absolutely amazing hotel. Staff can't do enough for you. Room was lovely loved the decor. We had booked the easter Sunday carvery the food was so tasty and plentyful, even though it was busy and you could see they were training new staff too I thought it was amazing... A lady called Isobella looked (looked she was organising the staff ) was so intentive couldn't do enough for you what a lovely woman. I had a flare up and had to be rushed to a and e the staff helped my husband and said if we wanted to return would be no problem. I was let out at 3am so obviously as I felt better wanted to return. Was met by a lovely gentleman called Matthew who again was so polite sorted our cards and room out again with no issue. We stayed downstairs for a chat as he offered drinks as he could see I was thirsty so ended up staying up for another hour speaking to him and relaxed after a traumatic evening. He was so accommodating and very friendly. We had a booking in the Eden spa in the morning and again I get people's names if they make an impression. Alan was very friendly and accommodating again couldn't do enough you could tell they were short staffed and in need of a full time beautician but he kept us informed had a lovely chat and the Massage and Spa experience was amazing. All in all (other than a and e trip) was an amazing experience great food great staff wonderful rooms will definitely be booking again soon. The Names I mentioned are an asset to your hotel. Thank you for a lovely stay...

A lovely time was had at Eden spa,with Nadia and Gemma very friendly and helpful, followed by afternoon tea in the restaurant in the hotel, which was delicious �. Liked it so much, we are now members!

Just returned home after a day of dance workshops and evening event. Lovely location and aspect with plenty of rooms for our classes. The conservatory could benefit from some shades as it was very bright in there but everywhere seemed clean. Our room was clean and quite well kept and beds were clean and comfortable. The shower was quite tricky to operate to a nice temperature but ok. We found the restaurant prices too high so opted for the bar lounge meals which were fresh and tasty. Service was speedy but it was quiet when we ate at 6pm. Thank you for an enjoyable stay with few hitches. We'd definitely return 😊👍🏻

Went hear In December 17 for a Tina turner act it was a freinds xmas party the staff were lovely the food was beautiful and drinks were reasonable... the rooms were ok shame about the Tina turns act tho she was herrendous we had to leave our table and sit out in the bar she was awful but the breakfast was lovely in the morning

Was really disappointed with what we had in afternoon tea today. For over £12 each we had one pot of tea 3 sandwiches each which we’re egg, cheese and tuna and a few cakes! When we asked for more sandwiches cause we were obv still hungry they weren’t happy and charged us more. No other savouries available and the choice of fillings were not very good. Was really looking forward to it too for a friends birthday so gutted!

Me my dad mother and partner traveled from Pembrokeshire to stay at this hotel last night, and we was disappointed on how arrogant the staff was. was definitely not worth the money we spent there, only thing we enjoyed was the spa area! Definitely won’t be staying again.

I am absolutely astonished by this place. Went here for my wife's birthday who is very ill and has been recommended to have regular spa days. Paid for a spa and treatment for three of us and the receptionist suggested sharing towels and robes ? No slippers. She suggested moving the treatment to a later time, but when booked this was the latest it was available as the treatment specialist was finishing after that. She then quite happily served us with prosecco and when the time came for treatments, refused as only one glass is apparently allowed to have a treatment. Turns out the receptionist, who served every drink, was the person meant to be doing the treatment and never said anything. The only sign said that no excessive drinking was allowed in the pool area, which they were happy for us to be in, but said nothing about treatments. Also never heard of a treatment specialist being the receptionist/bar person before ? When we complained the the staff and management were horribly arrogant and unprofessional, the police were called and all sorts of allegations were made. Totally blown out of proportion, to an astounding level, never again. One of the worse days of my life �

Booked a 2 night break here, however due to the snow it was not safe to make our way to the hotel. Our booking was non-refundable so didn't expect our money back but asked if they could change the dates of our booking. The hotel refused point blank, despite the fact they would of made more money out of us having us stay there and using the spa! Really really poor customer service, won't ever use a best western hotel again! But then I don't think they will really care!

Appalling room in the coach house, freezing cold, no double glazing, inadequate heating and hot water. Pool closed and given single room when booked double. Don't stay here. Unhelpful staff and dirty rooms with dog hair everywhere and half eaten dog chew under bed. Don't stay here
