Best Western Pontypool Metro Hotel

I stayed here for work on Saturday. It was very nice. The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was very very comfy.

Also liked the clothes line in the bath. I had absolutely no use for it. But it was a nice touch.

The staff were also lovely and very helpful.

The breakfast was also nice enough. Especially the sausages.

Great rooms shower was ok breakfast was full English serve yourself continental was also available

The rooms are nice and clean, staff are friendly but food require improvement. With no proper kitchen facilities or chefs the meal options are limited. Breakfast was OK but the sausages on the buffet were of a poor quality.

Staff very friendly couldn't do enough for you. Very clean comfy beds. Will definitely be staying again when in the area

The bar and eating experience was very good. All areas were clean and tidy and the ambient temperature was comfortable. The food was very nice and within a good price range. Overall the experience was very good.

Stayed here for a long weekend don't think I would return. The rooms are reasonable but breakfast is a shambles. We were still chewing our food when our plates were taken away. The staff seem to rush to get you from the very small breakfast area. And heaven forbid you just sit anywhere for breakfast. We were told very brusquely "you can't sit there" and were ushered to another table. Be warned there isn't much room and you definitely feel squashed together. The breakfast itself is more or less the same as the complementary breakfast you get in Holiday Inn the only difference is you pay around £7 odd for the privilege. Ive stayed in other Best Westerns such as the Aberavon Beach Hotel and what a huge difference. Save your money and find a Travelodge or stay in the Premier Inn the other side of the roundabout. Overall I felt disappointed.

Good clean rooms, cafe type place to eat rather than restaurant. Convenient location and good value for money.
