it's a bit hard to put into words on how to describe betws y. coed or exactly what I love about it, we went two years ago, weather was brilliant, which made it very picturesque, good variety of shops which cater especially for tourists, two years on, weather wasn't good, it rained, shops hadn't changed, still a good choice of places to eat, but it was still picture perfect, loads of people walking around, the weather didn't matter, it was a little bit of heaven enclosed in the welsh hills, a must visit for everyone.

We only live 30 minutes away from this beautiful place. We visit on a regular basis because we love it. Lots of lovely walks, plenty of places to eat and gorgeous scenery!

I didn't know the first thing about planning a trip to Snowdonia on my own (I'm from the U.S.) but chose to stay in Betws-y-Coed based on one person's mention of it on Trip Advisor. I'm glad I did! It felt very welcoming and there was plenty to see within the town itself while still having a small village "local" feel.
