Big Love Festival

Big Love is a small, independent, three-day music and arts festival with a DIY attitude. We're 100% homemade by the best crews, creatives, bands and DJs from Cardiff and Bristol. Since 2016 we've been hosting a weekend packed with great live music, DJs, woodland discos, yummy street food and lazy down-time, with a 1000 like-minded souls. Although we've hosted some big names – KRS-One, Ibibio Sound Machine, Sian Evans /Kosheen, Joy Orbison, Craig Charles – we're also very much about supporting emerging and unsigned talent. With 5 stages, expect a range of live bands and DJs, with something for everyone, including house, drum'n'bass, electroswing, hip hop, electronica, reggae and dub, jungle, Afrobeat, indie, breakbeat, disco, techno and folk. A lot of the team have been involved with the likes of Bestival and Boomtown, but we're a world away from the vibe of a large festival – Big Love is small in capacity but big on atmosphere, community and shared good times. There's zero sponsorship, no corporate backers and no trustafarians – any profits are ploughed back in to the event in order to keep it as affordable as possible. You could say it's a bit of a labour of (big) love, and we welcome anyone with good ideas and a love of good music getting involved. The action takes place in a glorious Monmouthsire country setting, a short drive from Bristol, Cardiff and within easy reach of the M4 and M5 motorways from London and the Midlands. There are also art and craft workshops, art installations, theatre and comedy, woodland discos and a lazy cocktail lounge in the day. In the evening there's a party in the woods till late, night time forest cinema, secret parties, and campfire sessions roaring all night.
