Biker Down Cymru Description

Would you know what to do if you came across a motorcycle crash? Attend a Biker Down! Cymru course to find out.

Biker Down! Cymru is a free scheme giving bikers of all ages and abilities the chance to learn what to do should they find themselves first on the scene of a motorcycle crash.

The scheme was originally devised by Kent Fire and Rescue's Fire Bike team, and received a Prince Michael of Kent Road Safety Award in 2012.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are pleased to be able to offer it to riders in Powys and Ceredigion, in partnership with Powys and Ceredigion Road Safety Units.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service offer it to riders in the South East Wales region in partnership with the South East Wales Transport Alliance.

The scheme is delivered, free of charge, at local fire stations in small informal groups. It is made up of three modules -

Collision scene management;

Motorcycle specific first aid including managing major bleeds, CPR and safe helmet removal, and
Rider conspicuity, the science of being seen, helping to prevent you from being the casualty.

Please note that this page is monitored in office hours only.
