M.Mus presentation ' An Investigation into further possibilities for chord substitution in jazz / Jazz blues ' There are 3 of my original 'concepts' covered here ( I was limited to 20 minutes ha ha !) Hey - well spotted ! I am much too old to be a student you are right : ) It does mean 'someone will have to listen' to my idea's / muso waffle though! ha ha ha hah huh ha... This work has been submitted for a ' top up' masters course I am doing - I did a PGDipMus in jazz studies as a 'mature' student - well over 10 years ago. Life ( people ) got in the way of my normal schooling . I left with no qualifications at 16 - I didn't really go to school very much at all - I was completely self taught for my first 23 years playing ( till age 33 ) - then got into uni simply on playing skills / 'merit' as a mature student - I did a B.MusHons PMP degree in my early 30's ( Londons guitar institute/ TVU - grad 2001) -Then a few years later I did a PGDipMus jazz studies ( RWCMD grad 2008 ). Never mind eh ... its the long way round for some of us. The scenic route : )

The 'Trilateral clash' - ( aka ' the Pezzack chord ' Ha ) C 7 sus b5 ( ? Eh ) voiced R 5th b7 11th b5th - This creates an interesting clash with 11 th and b5 being a half step apart at the top of the voicing - A bit like 7 #9 ( the #9 and 3rd clash in 7#9 ) which is what I liked about the idea really... it also has a 4th , b5 and nat 5th ! A 'trilateral clash' ( ha hah hu ha hah ho) and an A min 13 with a maj 7 on top - voiced R oct b3 13 nat 7 - (mel min)
