We had a fantastic meal yesterday, the food was excellent really tasty, the staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was perfect. Thank you for a lovely evening

Nothing changes. Fabolous atmosphere great service and amazing food. We love going there and highly recommend it to everyone

First time visit ahead of Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott gig (sooooo good). Friends had tried Cardiff restaurant (our local) and had a good time. Our time with the Newport team was excellent. The place was packed just after 6pm which says a lot about reputation. We had a superb meal with great service despite it being so busy. Chloe our waitress was so friendly and helpful. The maitre d' spotted an error with our bill (till-related due to early evening offers) and quickly processed a refund. So many restaurants could learn a lot from this place. They just get things right. We've booked Cardiff restaurant for NYE and will be trying their special dining evenings in the new year. Come on Cardiff, no pressure - the booking is 8pm for 2 on 31/12, name Jones if you want to look out for us :-)

First lunchtime visit and definitely not the last. Warm welcome on arrival by very friendly, efficient staff. Really good choice on menu with special offers available. Food is really good and well presented. Dined here many times in the evening and have never had a poor meal. Would definitely recommend for food, atmosphere, staff and value for money. Fantastic friendly service, wonderful tasting food and excellent value on the lunchtime price-fixe menu. We’ll be back.

Excellent service , lovely atmosphere and excellent food too. Amazing not having to wait too long for food at this time of year. Highly recommend this restaurant!!!!

Eaten here now on 3 occasions and had good food on every occasion . Service can be up and down depending on how busy they are .

Loyalty scheme is very good and well worth joining

Delicious meal as always, washed down with the best Sauvingnon Blanc.

Booked it for an Easter Monday family lunch as my wife and I are familiar with the Cardiff branch of this chain. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food on the excellent value prix fixe menu and the service was excellent too. Highly recommend.

Booked a table for 6 at 6.15pm and arrived a little late but it was no problem. We all had three courses and each one was tasty and looked good.

Tom was our waiter for the evening and nothing was too much trouble, even when we were trying to split the bill at the end of the evening.

All in all, a great evening in a fab atmostphere with good food and prices. This wasnt our first vist to Pierres and definately wont be our last.

Always a good atmosphere and good food without paying the earth for it and of course the drinks help. Great night

Great friendly service and love the buzz of the place. I've knocked a star off because you are using plastic straws. With all the knowledge now on straws there is no need to serve straws for children. There are paper alternatives or just ask. Need to address this as many chains are.

Very disappointed. Have been here lunchtime and had excellent friendly service and lovely meals. Went yesterday evening with 3 generations of family for a birthday meal. Service was bordering on rude and meals were very disappointing to say the least. Steak was probably the worst. A few tiny pieces burnt to a crisp and cold. Wouldnt recommend and wont be going again. Service was also extremely slow.

Ordered breakfast. Most items looked like they had been re heated. Bacon so hard the knife refused to cut it. It was replaced but all other items had been kept warm and had dried out. Very poor quality for the price. The only saving grace. The coffee was good. Not recommended

Sea bass was small and full of bones, I was just told it’s hard to fillet fish �

Having visited other bistro Pierre’s I was looking forward to a lovely meal with my wife. Not to be. Food sent back twice and the chef said nothing wrong with it. Arrogant response to a sensible complaint. Never visiting Newport again
