Feeling a bit chilly this evening. Means your plants will start to slow down ready for winter, but still plenty of jobs to do. Keep reading for one!

It may be feeling autumnal but plenty of colour in the garden!

Autumn arriving early?

This is a bonus plant. It has actually come under the fence from my neighbour's garden. Stunning Phlox and nearly 6ft high!

I do like the perfect sphere of the Echinops, the bees quite like it too!

On this stormy, wet day these lilies provide a bit of sunshine!

I am sure these cyclamen flower earlier every year!

The sweet peas are still.going strong. Keep deadheading them to prolong flowering.....until the end of the season when you may want to collect some seed.

After all this rain your plants may be looking a bit battered. It is worth staking your tall perennials to help them straighten up and stop them getting damaged further!

The Jasmine is smelling beautiful and it is like it is lit up in the evening light. Great for climbing up an arch, fence or wall.

I have been asked a few times recently about knowing when the seeds are ready to collect. Turn the sound up and watch this video. Shake and rattle is key. These Aquilegia you can see thr heads are brown, opening and seeds are visible inside.
