Black Rock Sands Touring And Camping Park

I scored this 5 stars on the basis that there are good onsite facilities shower/toilet, electric hook up if needed, great location right next to the beach. Local pub and pizza place within walking distance. Clean site. We had a great time, rained every night but this IS camping after all. One happy camper haha

Beautiful beach but lot's of jelly fish had been washed up. Easy access by foot or car.

Great place for camping. Lovely area by the beach with a cafe nearby. The facilities are good and clean and the staff is nice and helpful.

Just had a great holiday at this site. Easy booking by phone, a 1 nights deposit secured the booking. We paid £40 per night with electric hook up. Our plot was a 1 minute walk to the bin area (not dirty at all and a plus not a negative) 2 minute walk to the fresh water tap and a 3 minute walk to the loo. There is a basic shop and a bar a 4 minute walk away but they are not affiliated to this site. We had a good boogie there though and people were friendly. 2 minute drive from fantastic black rock sands beach or a short walk from the site. Can drive on to the beach and at peak times costs £5. Also at peak times there was a food van and ice cream but I don't know how often that is there. If you wake up early enough you will see the wild rabbits that also occupy the site plus many birds and other wildlife. Sorry for the long review but if you like camping you will like this site. We will be back when we can.

My little boy says that 5 stars isn't enough and that there should be a 100 star option. Absolutely brilliant site. Facilities were fab and very clean. Site was great and staff very friendly. Dog and child friendly and very close to the sea. We wished the weather was a little better but still a brilliant break!

Great place to either go camping with friends or family. Great location with nice views, and a bar/take away on site.

What a lovely campsite literally next to the beach. A great pizza cafe closeby and pub. Having some work done at the moment but you didn't notice any noise or disruption to your stay.

We go most years been the last 3 year's in a row also dog friendly and always friendly and helpful will always and the beach just over the sand dunes and you can drive on with your car for a fiver lol 😁😀

We stayed here as a couple over the August Bank Holiday.
Okay firstly the good points, the site has adequate showers & toilets which are cleaned regularly, the showers are nice and hot/warm. It is also a great location for the beach.
Now the bad points, firstly there is no sign of a warden on an evening, noise is going on well past midnight and I'm talking people playing guitars, singing VERY loudly etc, secondly people were letting off chinese lanterns on site so if you value your tent and your life I definitely wouldn't camp here, again no sign of a warden to stop it. Thirdly dogs are permitted on site and although it says they must be on a lead there was no enforcement of it and lots of dogs were roaming and some were defecating freely on site, again not very good with children about, some campers were acting responsibly and had their dogs on a lead but an awful lot didn't.
People were also pitching tents very close together, a major fire hazard and campers were coming and going all weekend and none of them were displaying a tent ticket, it wouldn't surprise me if half of them hadn't paid as again no one checked or seemed to care.

I wouldn't camp here again until I see a raft of good reviews as unless there is a change of ownership/management I can't see anything changing, I also think that at £40 a night with hook up is pricey especially considering the bad points above.
