We arrived at the park and continuously phoned the second number with no reply, so we drove onto the caravan park looking for life. We eventually came across a woman who pointed us in the direction of our pod and told us how to work the TV.
We expected to find a campsite information leaflet in the pod... we didn't.

At first glance it looked nice, but... not clean (crockery & cutlery could have done with a wash). BBQ was rusty and unusable and "fire pit" was a let down.
The toilet block is at the farthest point away from the pods.
The toilet amenity block is a lot to be desired, it has broken facilities and is filthy. They weren't cleaned once in our whole weekend stay, with faeces on toilet seats and showers grimy. The one hand wash basin is so small it's a pointless addition and there's only one per male/female for the entire park.
The pod is supposed to sleep four people, however, when we tried to pull the sofa bed it wouldn't come out completely so we had to completely rearrange the bottom end of the pod to accommodate the monstrosity. It totally blocked our exit out of the pod and we worried about fires starting and how we would get out quickly! The smoke alarm is stuck to the SIDE of the pod, so useless in the event of a fire.

The children's playpark is situated right next to the busy, fast main road, so we wouldn't even allow our 10 & 11 year olds use it alone, they would have had to be accompanied all of the time in case curiosity got the better of them.

Day 2, we were approached by a man who came from the nearby caravans who said the owners had gone away for the night and had asked him to take our fee for the pod. We begrudgingly handed over our fee, while I messaged the owners making sure we were doing the right thing. I asked for a receipt, but he said he couldn't give one?!
The owners had our contact number so could easily have contacted us by text or Facebook message to let us know in advance that a random man was going to ask for the money, and let us know here would be no staff onsite.
They replied saying they had asked him to take it from us, which was a relief.

This park is definitely for those who stay for years, it is not aimed at new customers, the place runs itself. We weren't informed of anything except how to use the TV, no instructions about the site, no pointers on where things are or how they work, no information left in the pod.

Nothing to carry dishes to the amenity block and back. No box or dish bowl to put them in. Once the sofa bed is out, it's impossible to get in and out of the pod. There are no bins around the site, we couldn't find any at all.
The roof of the pod is made of metal, so rain noises in the night were amplified massively. Having big trees above made it worse... sounded like someone playing drums on the roof.
The decking outside the pod is thick of green slime, so extremely, extremely slippy. My son fell completely, landing on his back, whilst the rest of us managed to stay upright.
We had no idea who to contact in case of problems because the owners weren't even there. The glamping pod area is tired and is in desperate need of some TLC and attention.

The website is about 5 years out of date, so information is conflicting. The Facebook page has no information on it, so you're kind of left to your own devices. It's interesting to find there's nowhere to leave reviews on any of their sites either. Which, after what we've found is no surprise.

Despite the dire experience of the caravan park, we managed to have a good weekend.

Would I recommend this place?? That's a definite no.

It needs updating and fixing, a good deep clean, more information given out, website updating and a bit more interest in its customers. In hindsight, I wish we had refused to pay the random man and let the owners know how unhappy we were.
Unfortunately, the fee was already paid and the owners weren't even there to complain to. Awful experience.

Not really a "touring" park. Mainly seasonal pitches. We weren't made to feel very welcome. Only two female showers, one was out of order. Bins full. Chemical waste disposal point unusable. No one around on arrival. Even had to hunt the owners out to pay when we were leaving. It's a shame, could be a lovely site and on first sight looks good but under the surface just a bit undermaintained.
