What a lovely photo.

User

Wonderful experience. Swimming, croquet, archery. putting green, rifle shooting and great food and entertainment. Our group of twenty did the lot!

User

What 4 afternoon tea and it was lovely. Service was great the staff where very nice and helpful would recommend anyone to go there

User

We have stayed 5 times at bodelwyddan castle hotel, we have loved our small breaks at this friendly comfortable place and would highly recommend a visit. All rooms have been to a high standard and food fabulous. 5 stars for them 👍🏻

User

We booked a two night break in a signature room in Williams Village. We paid extra because it was a new room and we were very pleased with it; so much so, that we asked if we could stay on for a further two nights. We were unable to keep the same room but were upgraded to a garden lodge suite for no extra cost. The suite is amazing, so luxurious and modern, with a balcony overlooking the lovely gardens and fountains.

We love the "extras" which come with both the

Signature and the Garden lodges, ( particularly the wine, cookies, and bathrobes)

The tray in the room is well stocked and it is nice to have a bottle of fresh milk in the fridge.

The grounds are lovely and there are lovely views of the Welsh hills and the distant sea.

The staff here are fantastic, as is the food and entertainment

Warners have certainly got it right; they seem to have thought of everything.

Just one complaint (sorry!) There needs to be a signpost by the castle entrance to direct people up the hill to the hotel.

So many people, like ourselves, have used the castle entrance and have driven round for fifteen minutes, back to the A55, before finding the way in.

Please take this on board, as, apart from this, you are simply the best!

User

Stayed in a Garden Lodge and had a wonderful stay. Beds are so comfortable and room is well appointed with a contemporary feel. Will come back here again.

User

Stayed here for three nights with a friend. We had rooms next to each other with no single supplement which was great. The rooms are very spacious with a huge, comfortable bed, tea/coffee making facility, fridge, lovely bathroom with large walk in shower.

The dining area is very large but never seemed crowded. Food was quite amazing and the service outstanding.

We attended Saturday nights entertainment which was a stylistics tribute band and they were brilliant.

Most days we were out and about and there are many interesting places to visit - Chester is a must at this time of year.

All in all, we had a brilliant break and will definately be returning.

User

Quality quality place....especially the Garden Lodges!!

User

My name is Irene It's our third time coming here with my partner. It's wonderful and the staff I have been privileged to come into contact with were fantastic especially a lady who is part of the house keeping team whose name is Marie... She is amazing . I will come again for sure

User

Loved it plenty to see and do very interesting

User

Love it rooms and staff lovely lots to do

User

Love Bodelwyddan Castle hotel, second time and won't be our last, beautiful garden suites upgrade if you can, beautiful.

User

Just returned from a lovely midweek break and honestly cannot fault the hotel at all the rooms were immaculate and so comfortable, food was beautiful and all the staff were brilliant they couldn't do enough for the guests making our stay so relaxing and comfortable it was just what the doctor ordered. I didn't think the entertainment would have been my cup of tea but I thoroughly enjoyed every evening the team were brilliant and so versatile they had us all up every night - the hotel is beautiful and the setting even more so - we even managed sunshine all week in February - I would definitely recommend a break here - hoping to visit again thank you so much xxx

User

Just got back from having a 3 night christmas twixel stay we were a party of six booked 3 lodges to be all together but unfortunately some guests had been ill in one of the lodges so it had to stay unoccupied for 48 hrs so my friends had to stay in the main hotel. They were well compensated and in all fairness it was not the hotels fault. From the start to the end we had a really good time the staff are very helpful and friendly food was amazing and the dining room well organised. The entertainment team put on quality shows.

The main act the Fab 4 Beatles tribute band were ok but we've seen better.

The rooms were well stocked each day with tea coffee hot chocolate milk ect . Spotlessly clean and well maintained all you could wish for for a comfortable stay.

Got married here December 2001 was very good then 5 star then

Been a few times since and has always been 5 star.

They spent millions on referb and it is impressive . Food is good facility's good excellent staff fantastic setting. One of warners top venuesnever had bad experience here. Steve hodges where are you. ?

Would suggest have comfy quite area in main reception as backing music too loud. Or at least turn down as background music as it should be.

John slade room 706 as we still here

User

Garden lodge is outstanding. The food is excellent. Staff very attentive making our stay fantastic. Fully recommend this place.

User

Fantastic place. My passengers from Carlisle in Cumbria loved it. Your staff were very attentive and the hotel was immaculate in an amazing setting. Well impressed with the porters and luggage team bringing the cases to the coach park and big thanks to Demi in the restaurant for looking after the group.

User

An amazing patio room opposite gravelled gardens, wall and tower. Stayed in room 102. A signature room with robes, slippers, nibble and fresh milk with our well stocked tea tray. Great food in the evening and for breakfast although some puddings poor. Staff amazing. Great entertainment. Grounds lush. No wifi in room and lights buzz. A great deal for only 65.00 a night which also includes wine in the room. Ask for a bath if you need one. Spa will be refurbished which definitely needed!

User

Although I couldnt fault the food or the setting or the entertainment or the staff I could fault the thoughtless people in the next room to me that were having parties at 12.30 in the morning ...I gave them the benefit of the doubt and let them carry on but when it got to 2am and no sign of abating I had to call down to the main desk to get them to sort it out ...same thing the next night although they called it a day at 1am ...so that just spoilt it a bit for me...not very soundproofed the rooms..... otherwise teriffic......

User

Absolutely brilliant.

Loads for the children to keep them occupied... treasure hunts, i spies colouring hands on activities..maze, playground, gardens, castle...fab staff lovely food ... stunning scenery... will be back at our 5 year olds request very soon!!

User

Staff are wonderful all work really hard to make the experience effort less. Although some updating of areas have been done exceptionally well there is room for improvement. I love going on Warner breaks and would recommend this hotel

User

Me and hubby went for 3 nights in standard room. Massive bed, clean and presentable. Bathroom could do with old bath removing and wet room Instead. Beautiful setting, lovely walk through gardens and woods, spa, sauna, had spa treatments off two lovely friendly presentable, professional young ladies. Meals excellent value and service, waitered by 'Jack' who was courteous, presentable, well mannered and couldn't do enough to help. Entertainment not usually our cup of tea but enjoyable non the less. Was able to book table at no extra cost so that we knew exactly where we would be going and table waiting (good plan). Partook of Archery and shooting. Plenty to do which meant hubby didnt need to drive us anywhere over the weekend which meant he could relax too. All staff pleasant and coutious which is difficult to achieve when dealing with the public so all credit to them. Our first Warner break but no doubt not the last. Thank you.

User

Loved our weekend at the hotel, rooms very comfortable, food delicious, staff very friendly. I have only one complaint, since being there 2 years ago you have changed the seating area in the concert room and it is now awful. Although as a group you sat us all together (great) it was like being in a doctors surgery. The room between the rows of tables did not take in to account people's need to get out again.

User

It's a beautiful place have been coming for the last 6 years. Not the same as it used to be, they were like my second family but alas no longer. Every one had the time to speak but somewhere along the line they have been told not to be so friendly with the guests.

User

I stayed here with my partner for a 2 night weekend break. The hotel is very nice however could be even better with some simple fixes put in place. The carpets in the hallways leading to the bedrooms are badly worn and have black tape holding them down in parts. It's a shame as the bedrooms themselves are very clean and comfortable. On the first night we went to the leisure centre to try the facilities. A good size warm pool, only let down by the walls and roof around it which badly need a paint job making it look a little tatty. What looks like a Jacuzzi pool instead was just a bubble pool with the water the same temperature as the pool. The steam room and saunas were all very nice.

The food in the hotel is excellent, great buffet breakfast, buffet carvery at night with other menu choices aswell. You are given a set table which you have for the duration of your stay. The staff are all very friendly with the exception of a young man who works on the bar with a beard who I found quite rude when he questioned me about an outstanding bill which I had already paid then when he checked didn't even think to apologise!

They have various entertainment - evening is good, nice size room and drinks are a reasonable price. My only criticism is all the front seating on each level is reserved for the lodges or people who pay more for. This seating can be left empty for hours whilst you sit at the back. The leisure entertainment is great - offering things like archery, shooting, dancing, I would recommend you book early as they get booked up quickly.

Overall it is a really good hotel with beautiful surroundings, friendly staff, great food, an interesting castle house to explore and a guys range of activities. All they need to do is a few little things as mentioned and I would have rated it a 5.

User

I just came back from a 2 night stay with my partner. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous. Nice comfy beds and lovely size rooms. We had a signature room so got some nice little added touches too.

They're are however a few things that let it down hence the 4*

> we asked for the Red wine in the room to be changed to white, told us no problem. This wasn't done!

> a guy from the bar quite rudely and abruptly approached us on night 2 to tell us we had an unpaid bill from the night before. We advised him that it had been paid. Once he established we had indeed paid the night before there was not even an apology!

> the pool area could do with a lick of paint and some heating. The corridor from the pool to the changing rooms was absolutely freezing!

> in the evening we really struggled to find seats for the shows. All the front row and second row in the top bar area reserved! All front row around dance floor reserved! All front rows on raised parts of room reserved! The second night was ridiculous we walked around the whole room 45mins before show started and struggled to find seats, eventually finding maybe the last remaining 2 right up in the top bar! I think it is completely unfair that people reserve seats, it should just be first come first serve as most seats were reserved all night for the people to sit at them for only and hour or so!

Apart from these few issues the rest of the stay was fabulous. Staff were friendly (apart from bar man) Tammy in restaurant was lovely. Food was amazing. Such a large choice and tasted delicious

User

Beds very comfortable. Food excellent. Not enough lounges for relaxing in though.

Only coffee rooms. Needs a room away from the hustle and bustle to read paper etc.

User

As part of a large group returning for ( i think) the 5th year i am dissapointed this year alrhough the room 608 is in the turrets with fabulous views lots of space comfy bed lots of fresh towels and toiletries it needs a little touch up here and there and a vacum during our stay but still i would give the room and house keeping 9/10 the food was good but nice touches from the table missing the service definatly slower prob because more rooms means more diners ..which brings me to the evening seating set up more people but lowther hall same size as its always been but smaller tables and more seats crammed in made it feel overcrowded and if we wanted to sit in our group split shifts for dinner or a small fortune to reserve a small space anyway compared to previous years entertainment down from10/10 for abba / queen/batchelors to 6/10 for this weekend to finish thanks to all the waiting on staff chefs and cleaners for this weekend .. but lòoks like WARNERS the buisness want more revenue which means less happy customers we still like warners but want the old fashioned values back

User

Absolutely loved our girlie weekend ... fun and laughter with great entertainment and fantastic food...great prices on drinks too. Staff are so friendly and the castle is amazing....a brilliant place to stay... my second visit and I will be back :)

User

We'd been once before, it was even better this time, very posh they have spent a lot of money on refurbishment, weather good bed massive staff great 👍 they hadn't quite got the catering right yet though. User

Part of the Warner (we are all grown up) hotel group. The general standard is good but falls short of the standards of the others we have stayed at.

On the lines of “everyone deserves a second chance” we are going back in March to see what has changed

User

Not worth the money food quality not good staff do a great job but the management side needs inproveing .Ie parking around the lodges & the lighting not good will not be back shame

User

Beautiful place, friendly staff and lovely food, but the entertainment area isn't as disabled friendly as it could be, hence we only went once, there could also be a bit more to do. It's good if you like walking but the daytime entertainment is very limited and there isn't a games room or indoor bowls like other warners sights.

We had a reasonable break but would visit here again.

User

Not rating it yet have not long arrived, booked a ground gloor signature room as my husband is disabled and uses a mobility scooter. When given out room discovered it was outside a little way from main building with STAIRS going into room, eh how to get mobility scooter into room? Went back to reception and explained, was asked vpuldnt he walk to room and leave mobility scooter in building ??? Really why does he use a mobility scooter. Could we leave it outside the room in the garden? What all night in who knows what weather. Was then told there was no more rooms or could we hang around until 5pm now being 2.3pm, there MIght be a cancellation err no we cant, after all it is first day of our holiday a don't want to be sat around waiting. Been asked to take a seat as managed on phone, still waiting 25 minutes later. NOT IMPRESSED with Bodelwyddsn Castle Hotel.
