"We are willing, very willing, to work in the garden of the nation, to tend to its flowers, but to do so we must have tools for the purpose... It is the Parliamentary Franchise alone which will bring feminine influence to bear upon the rulers of this country. Then only will women come into her kingdom as 'guardian of life' armed with power to help and save." Laura McLaren of Bodnant #UnbindTheWing http://bit.ly/2NPFqQB

Our team are busy clearing up after the recent stormy weather. Thankfully we escaped without too much damage, apart from this fallen ash tree in the Yew Dell. The garden is open as normal, though some paths may be closed where gardeners are working.

User

STORM UPDATE: Bodnant Garden is open as normal today (Friday, 21 September) though some paths may be closed where our gardeners are clearing storm debris.

User

Whatever the weather and whatever the time of year, Bodnant is well worth a visit. Fun things for the children to do in the holidays, and they also allow you to take your dog in Wednesday evenings. The gardens are stunning, lots of beautiful bridges, buildings and water features too.

User

What an amazing place and made all the more amazing by the fantastic team, the gardens & everyone working there really are outstanding & something to be very very proud of x

User

We visited whilst on holiday in wales. We loved it!. The gardens are beautiful and our child enjoyed taking charge of the map 😁

The food in the restaurant was lovely and so affordable. Definitely worth a visit

User

We just loved every minute of our time walking the full length of the river and back. Fabulous views, captivating water features and beautiful plants with lots of seating for quiet contemplation. The best garden we’ve ever been to. We’ll be back!

User

Visited Bodnant yesterday on a coach trip and was totally amazed. The laburnum arch was in full colour and amazing, with the garden's looking stunning with fantastic planting, colour design. It is a garden within a garden with plenty of places to sit down, with amazing trees, waterfall and some wildlife to Lok at. It is a place I would certainly visit again and if I lived in that area I would spend plenty of time there. Lots to photograph, landscape, flowers, buildings etc. Totally amazed, well worth the visit, with helpful staff and volunteers.

User

My first visit with the kids using my NT membership. There was a pond dipping activity for the kids which which was fun. Lovely gardens. I'm no expert but amazing plants! Much bigger than expected. Car park was full but didn't feel busy. Lots of paths to have a good walk around. Quite hilly but good exercise. Could have done with a natural play area within the gardens and a better choice of ice cream! We will return.

User

My favourite place, never get bored of it. A perfect place for a family to visit. Love that it is so child friendly too.

User

Love coming here, last time we came was February, you had a fairy trail which led you to the top hill at the back of house by the waterfall the children loved looking at all the different house and names

We also enjoyed a hot chocolate while waiting for the hail storm to pass enjoying the beautiful waterfall

User

Just fabulous. Roses at their best right now. Have been earlier in the spring for the rhododendrons and azaleas. It doesn't matter when you go it is just a slice of paradise. Lots of damsel and dragon flies on the lily ponds.

User

This garden is one of my favourite I've visited.I bought a pot of rose to add in my rose collection. Would love to visit again and highly recommended to all rose lovers.

User

It is probably the most beautiful NT garden we have visited. The Laburnum arch is stunning, but the surprises keep coming, pools filled with water lilies, water falls, huge trees, formal rose gardens, azaleas a water mill. I could keep on explaining, you have to visit it.... we will certainly return. A massive well done to the gardeners and volunteers!

I love to visit the Gardens.I like to see what's new, and to visit my old favourites.I especially liked to see that filming is being done along the Laburnum arch and in the meadows this year for a production of 'The Secret Garden'. After a couple of hours of walking around you could get a refreshing drink at one of 2 cafe's. The staff are friendly and helpful. I love visiting Boddnant Gardens.

User

I have been visiting Bodnant for over 50 years and will not stop any time soon. Without doubt it is one of the best gardens I have visited and am lucky that it is close enough to visit on a day-trip from home. (My two other favourites are Wakehurst place and Singapore Botanic Gardens, but they are not so easy to visit!)

User

Excellent place to wander about and relax. The valley is rather steep, so not really suitable for those with walking difficulties. There are loads of seats scattered about so you can take the weight off your feet. Some nice little tea rooms and a good selection of plants for sale. Well worth a visit.

User

Dinner under the Laburnam Arch this evening; lovely food and drinks, I recommend the mojito! The entertainment from the piano vocal duo Carly & Russ was excellent and staff were so friendly. The whole evening with hubby was sublime. Bring on next year

User

Came last year during our honeymoon and saw the laburnum arch in full boom so came back this year on our anniversary. The arch in full boom is just beautiful and there is just so much beauty in the gardens. One of my happy places where I just unwind.

User

Beautiful place- could have spent hours there. So much to see and carefully placed benches so you could sit and enjoy the gardens. But the harpist was the absolute icing on the cake for me.

User

Perfect timing for the laburnum tunnel. Stunning and fragrant at the same time. The gardens are beautiful and we discovered parts that we hadn’t been to before. Walked lots so great exercise in beautiful surroundings. Just a shame that the main cafes were outside the gardens but also they had a very limited range of food. Had a bite to eat at a garden centre down the road.
