Diagnosed with MS aged 29. Today is her birthday. She’s 81. Has worked 1-2-1 with me every week for over 15 years. Today we paid particular attention to her balance and ability to recover her balance when faced with an unstable surface. The airex balance pad is a perfect tool for this. #pilates is about functional strength. It’s more than what you do in the studio. ... We aren’t teaching you to be good at Pilates. That’s just a happy by product. We are teaching you to be upright, strong, balanced, with good posture, mobility and flexibility. And to be able and independent for as long as possible.

I really do have fabulous clients. They actually don’t think I’m bonkers when I cancel their session in order to take an injured coot that I found on the side of the road, for treatment. Sadly, the RSPB at Burton refused any help. But big shout out to Birch Veterinary practice in Neston fur taking him. However, I am now sat in the car weeping like a baby because his leg is so badly broken, they are going to have to put him down. RIP little coot. At least it will be peaceful and gentle.
A miserable morning, but I’ve done my first #corporate #pilates session, and now I’m back in the office (with power snack), to complete my speech for a business meeting this evening.

Just completed introduction to Pilates plus five lessons. Booked for more lessons. Pilates with Russ has improved my core strength immensely thus improved my general health 100 percent. I’m a self confessed exercisephobe; having always found it hard to motivate myself to stick with a class. However, I’ve being going to Bodywork-Pilates since last November and I love it. With a wide range of classes, it is perfect to help you relax and de-stress or improve your flexibility and core strength. As a teacher, I’ve found that it has really helped me feel less achy and stiff after sitting in a chair for hours marking. I can’t recommend Helen and Russ enough. Great class and always on hand with great fitness and well being advice.
I’d tried Yoga & Pilates classes in the past & I felt I was made to feel embarrassed in them because I’m not flexible & found the moves hard, but that’s the reason I wanted to go to a class, to improve! when this centre opened I plucked up the courage to try the classes & I’m so glad I did. You won’t feel bad about yourself if you can’t do certain things, in fact you’ll feel the opposite because they’ll adapt the exercise or give you advice. I’m noticing improvements all the time. I recommended it to 2 friends & we all say how we’ve never enjoyed an exercise class more. I really couldn’t sing its praises enough. If you’re thinking of giving it a go, do it. I hope you go on to enjoy it as much as I do. � Oh & I got an ice lolly last week and you don’t get that in your ‘branded’ gyms! �

I like the ethos of this Pilates Practice . Attention to individual technique is at the forefront and the classes are relaxed and supportive. Great for beginners and experts alike. Thanks Russ .
I dont normally leave reviews but feel I need to, I absolutely love the place. I’ve started with Pilates and going to try a bit of yoga next week. The hour class of Pilates feels like you’re hanging with a group of friends and passes far too quickly for my liking �! Russ and Helen make you feel at ease and correct you when needed. Roll on next Monday � xx

I can't praise Helen and Russ enough. I have chronic pain and grunt and groan about, but they are patient, knowledgeable and experienced. It really does help, great choice of fun classes and membership option a plus! Would and do recommend them.
Great preliminary Pilates class for people like me who are reluctant to launch straight into an established class. Helen and Russ are so supportive and helpful. I will be continuing with their level 1 classes �
