Boleyn's Bistro, my cafe is now open. Especially now autumn has arrived and the short-lived summer light begins to fade, I can put my clunky pots on the hob! So we can welcome some soul warming soups, stews, traditional hearty pies and curries like long lost friends! ! ! !
With my cafe taking on a more rustic and more earthy charm, plates of tender meat, sturdy pulses, sweet roots and punchy spices to warm us up on those shortening, more chilly days. As the darker nights and colder fingers start to set in, the colours of the turning leaves and low shafts of sunlight find their way into my cooking pots with autumn's harvest! ! ! !
So let my oven whirr into life and as I get my ladles and wooden spoons out in force to begin my process of cooking from scratch, letting things brew! ! ! ! ! !
