BOOKS Plus is more than just a bookshop. It is a Christian bookshop with a difference. Different because it is situated on the main concourse at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff - an unusual place to find a Christian bookshop, and also because it sells more than just Christian books, music and cards. A range of general books, CD's, gifts and fair trade items plus numerous cards for many occassions can be found in the shop.

Books Plus exists primarily to be a witness of the Christian faith and the hope of Christ to all who pass through the concourse. We aim to provide somewhere for people to find something that may be of help and support to them in their work in the hospital or because of the circumstances that have brought them through the hospital - maybe as a patient, visitor or outpatient.

The shop is managed by three staff and supported by a team of around 40 volunteers drawn from Christian churches in and around Cardiff. Volunteers are the face of Books Plus and make a valued contribution. We are always looking to strengthen our volunteer team and welcome anyone from age 16 + to join us. It is important that all our volunteers share our Christian faith, are regular members of a Church and can be recommended by their Church leader.
