I'm sure that like most zoo's around the world they do some sterling work. But the destruction of this poor lynx, the blame lies at the zoo's door.It is imperative that lessons are learned and are acted upon.A zoo's purpose is to help preserve our beautiful and magnificent wildlife. We are coming to Aberystwyth on holiday next year and was due to visit the zoo but I'm afraid we'll have to think again. This poor animal dying because of a lack of a decent enclosure or a brake down in organization. I pray this doesn't happen again.Another incident, same outcome what in the name of God is going on at this place.

Shame on the new owners, you allowed a beautiful lynx to be shot. You do not deserve to be around any animals...ever!
Hope everyone boycotts you, the 'vet' that said it was a danger to humans... ( my a##e ! ), and that the council members get voted off!
Send your animals to a zoo that will care properly for them, and shut yourselves down, because you are not going to have much footfall coming through after this!. Totally disgusting!

It is an absolute outrage that the Lynx that escaped from this zoo has been destroyed. It escaped because it wanted freedom from being imprisoned for the rest of its life. It is extremely rare that Lynx attack people, but reports say that the council have now killed this wonderful creature anyway. Apparently the enclosure where this cat was kept was too small and housed 3 other Lynx cats. I do not feel that this zoo is entirely culpable as Ceredigion Council made the decision to kill the cat after earlier attempts to capture failed.

Nice for the kids a lot crammed in to a small space. Enclosures are clearly old and have seen better days but the animals seem well fed and looked after. Thare is a good range of animals. The owners are clearly trying to upgrade and expand. You can't really fill a full day but it's lovely for a few hours. Well worth a visit.

Been here several times, new owners are working hard to improve facilities for the animals. Staff are friendly and helpful and always willing to stop and chat. Lovely little cafe and there's a reptile show x well worth a visit x

The zoo was great and a lot of animals to see we had real fun but a bit of the zoo could be improved and I rated the zoo a 4 not 5 because I saw a women working in the Caffe pic her nose and did not wash her hands but other than that the zoo was great fun.

Very nice small zoo with many animals where you can get really close to them. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The children enjoyed the visit.

Some really great animals there which I have never seen before. I would recommend this to any family who is staying in Borth. It costs £30 for a family which is worth it for what you will see. Definitely something which will stay as a memory :-)
