Well, folks, what can I say? It's been fun, tks for the ride, gonna miss ya?
Borth-y-Gest B&B is now closed. We are moving & I just wanted to say thanks for all your support along the way. I've really enjoyed running the B&B & have plans to do so again, in a year or so at the new house, still in The Bay.
So long, farewell, until we meet again! Xx :)

Morning! What do you get if you cross 3 rashers of bacon with 2 guests?

Great start to a lovely sunny morning! :)

Oversleeping in a B&B:
"Oh, look at the time! - it's 8 o'clock!" (Breakfast booked for 8.30am)
"OK, you go to the shop - quickly! and get the sausages" (which had been forgotten) "C'mon, go!"
... "I'll do the table & sort the kitchen" Lots of rushing about goes on & very hurried dressing. Once downstairs, I notice that it's 7 o'clock, not 8! Uh oh, there's gonna be trouble............ As himself opens the front door, I whisper to him:
"It's OK, it's 7 o'clock!"
"Whaaat" He whispers back.
"7 not 8!"

A lovely thank from our 'month long' guests. We're going to miss them, we've become a little family! :)

Valentine's Day! Romantic evening planned with guests: watching PS, I love you whilst eating lots of choc! Bet you wish you were here! :)

The sea at Herne Bay was like a millpond the other morning. So still, hardly moving. Beautiful.

Lovely new purchase for the 2014 season! Marvellous!

Can't believe that January is coming to a close next week! We've got some long term - a month - guests arriving next Saturday. So rooms full - Luvly jubbly!

Friday's guest was just leaving this morning & we were discussing gardening. He mentioned the new water feature in his garden: the River Severn! I call it 'one upmanship' personally!

Nice little one night booking for the w/e. Just what we like!

Our most recent guests took some hangers home with them by mistake. "Not a problem" I said. "Just don't try it with the towels, they self destruct at 50 paces from the B&B!"

Wishing all our guests, past, present (well, they've left!) & future a very Happy New Year. We look forward to welcoming you in 2014.
