Brangwyn Hall

About Brangwyn Hall

Since opening in the 1930s the Brangwyn has played a significant role in Swansea's civic and cultural life. The building's striking architecture, largely Art Deco in style, and Frank Brangwyn's British Empire Panels have ensured its status as a landmark venue in the city. The hall's high ceiling, wooden floor, and walls adorned with Brangwyn's magnificent panels combine to provide remarkable acoustics, perfect for concerts. It's not surprising, therefore, that over the years the Brangwyn has hosted many orchestras of international acclaim and bands such as Queen, Manic Street Preachers, Elvis Costello and George Ezra. The Brangwyn is the epitome of opulence in Swansea. The British Empire Panels in the main hall, originally destined for the Palace of Westminster, provide a colourfully stunning backdrop to many large-scale events. For something a little more intimate the George Hall and Lord Mayor's Reception offers palatial splendour on a smaller scale, ideal for wedding ceremonies or conferences with less than 150 delegates. The Brangwyn's suite of committee rooms offer functional minimalism with a hint of Art Deco, very 1930s and perfect for small meetings. The splendid opulence of the Brangwyn's architecture is matched by the attentive service of its team. The Brangwyn takes great care of its guests. Its team is thoughtful of others, considerate, polite, and courteous. The Brangwyn is the perfect host.
