In order to promote sponsor brands or advertisers messages, motorsport events have traditionally utilised large metal or wooden spikes, hammered into the ground to secure their advertising or promotional banners to.

However there has always been the danger that if hit by a vehicle, these metal posts could fly up, causing serious damage or injury.

Genesis Marketing & Events Limited have developed an innovative safety solution for advertising banners placed next to rally stages or in areas of fast moving traffic, which if struck by a vehicle greatly reduce the risk of dangerous shards being thrown into the air on impact.

BreakerPost, is a highly effective solution, comprising of a metal spike placed into the ground, with a top section secured to the base with plastic breaker bolts, into which a hollow aluminium tube is inserted. Banners or banner frames can then be attached to these poles and secured in place.

On impact the top section breaks away from the base, leaving the spike safely in the ground and the tube attached to the frame, ensuring that no separate parts are thrown into the air. Additionally aluminium is more likely to crumble than either metal or wood, thus avoiding sharp or large jiggered sections, which could cause harm.
