Our second visit to this beautiful location with the most amazing hosts
Having stayed here in June for a few days I fail to understand why all the reviews I see are 5 star, we stayed in 'Hay Barn' and found it very cluttered, all the kitchen cupboards were full of unnecessary crockery etc- I counted 20 mugs & 18 dinner plates! Had to leave the food we brought in the lobby still in the bags.
They say they are totally dog friendly yet dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms. Dogs have to be on lead from the car to the accomodation as sheep are roaming free. A lot of the promo images of the views are taken from thier own private garden which are spectacular but the barns have other views.
The bathroom was another letdown a very basic electric shower over a bath which I was surprised considering the price.
Walks from the accomodation ok if your a dedicated walker but you need the car otherwise.
The best bit I found was to get your £100 deposit back you are expected to get the mop and bucket and 'henry' the hoover from the garage and clean the place after you! (As per the 'terms and conditions' which are highlighted in the welcome book) now correct me if I am wrong but don't you pay for that within the price? Oh and while we were cleaning ( I drew the line at the mop and bucket !) The grill hadn't been cleaned from the previous guest!
Amazing place perfect getaway for all you mountain bikers and dog walkers and the bbq hut is just out of this world a real great weekend away
It was an amazing place, the hospitality from Nikki & Jay could was 2nd to no-one. Oh & Nikki's food & the outside bbq blew us away , well done Nikki & Jay we couldn't have asked for more :)
Marvellous views and very comfortable accommodation, great walks for the dogs, looking forward to going back!
Great for dog lovers, brilliant accommodation and the big outdoor spaces are amazing.
