What can I say... An amazing week spent at BFB � The Old Bike shed is a perfect cosy retreat, surrounding by beautiful forest and gorgeous beaches! The information pack provided is so helpful and the beaches, etc that Nikki recommended were perfect! Hope to see you again soon �

What a fantastic place to stay! Arrived for a short stay in the Old Bike Shed and was delighted with the accommodation. Exactly as described with no surprises, always a plus! Very cozy, beautifully decorated and everything thought of - a great base to explore the surrounding countryside and any of the wonderful dog friendly beaches. Llansteffan and Ferryside in particular were brilliant beaches for dogs (great fish and chips at Llansteffan too!!).

I wish I could've stayed longer this time but will definitely be going back at some point. A much needed, relaxing break in a wonderful location.

We stayed in the small but perfectly formed "Old Bike Shed" for our anniversary in early September.



The barns are in a lovely location just off the beaten track with beautiful scenery (from the drive through the hills, to the view from the patio windows) & fabulous walks not only on the door step but also a short drive away.



The "Shed's" small space was functional with a cosy feel and had everything needed for a short breakaway for two (oh, and a four legged friend �) ... with added entertainment of climbing up & down the little ladder for the mezzanine bedroom �



We opted for self catering during our stay, with a supermarket a short drive away, but if you're looking for food closer to home, there are rave reviews about Nikki's cooking in the guest book & the BBQ hut looked fantastic �





Lots to keep humans & pups busy in the local area. Our favourite walks were Keepers (a woodland walk short drive away from the barns) & Llansteffan beach (as recommended by Nikki in our welcome pack). We could have spent hours exploring with the help of the trusty OS map - much more useful than any satnav!



A brilliant time enjoyed by all - thanks to Nikki & the team for providing such a great place to stay! We'll be back to visit again and look forward to more exploring and 'beagling' (Willow is missing the sight of your 3 beagles each morning! Woof!)"

We stayed in the Old Bike Shed - lovely decor, warm, comfortable and well thought out - had everything my 2 and 4 legged family needed. It was great having our own enclosed garden with breathtaking views.



Nikki and Jay are warm and welcoming. They provided lots of easy to digest information about the area and places to go.



The location is simply stunning with easy access to forest and beach walks. I’m so happy we’ve found Brechfa Forest Barns and looking forward to many more visits.

We stayed in The Hay Barn over Easter with 2 kids and a dog. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed and settled in, then fed a wonderful home cooked meal prepared by Nikki. The barn was lovely, warm and very thoughtfully presented. The barn information pack had some great advice which we used a lot, and found some great walks, beaches and pubs! We would definitely come again and may be stay a couple of extra nights next time. A great country retreat!!

We have just come back from the Hay barn and we have all had an amazing time. Nikki and Jason were perfect hosts. The accommodation was loved by 4 humans and 2 very exhausted pooches. It is perfect for exploring both the coast and forests, it is ideally located for both. We had days full of adventures and cosy chilled nights in at the cottage. Extremely dog friendly, well equipped and perfectly located. Just disappointed that we had to come home. Thanks again for everything, all your recommendations for day trips out, beaches, forest walks and dog friendly pubs were 100% spot on.

We had an amazing time in the Hay Barn. Truly dog friendly and we felt relaxed immediately. The barn is well equipped and really cosy and comfortable. Betty our beagle didn't like it when we went somewhere last year but she was completely relaxed and at home here. Happy beagle means happy and relaxed holiday..

Lovely surroundings and places to visit, I would recommend to anyone.

We had a wonderful weekend away here with my family and our two dogs for my 30th Birthday. The accommodation was lovely and dog friendly. There are so many gorgeous walks in forest and nearby beaches too (the dogs loved it!). The views from the accommodation are beautiful and the Welsh countryside did not disappoint! We hired the BBQ hut for six of us and had such fun...in fact we have had so many people ask us since seeing the photos on Facebook about Brechfa Forest Barns as they too would love to visit and certainly use the BBQ hut! We were made to feel very welcome and Nikki cooked us up a feast of delicious food from her menu on the Friday night we arrived. We left relaxed, happy, well fed and with wonderful memories. Thank you for having us and we hope to return again soon!

The wonderful Brechfa Forest Barns more than lived up to their reviews. We arrived with our 4 dogs for a 3 night stay in the Hay Barn. We were met by the lovely Nikki, who helped us settled in and gave us so much information on dog friendly places to visit. We were so comfortable here, in fact, 3 nights just wasn't long enough. The walks were amazing, which resulted in tired and relaxed humans and dogs for the whole weekend. On Saturday night the snow started to fall. I have to say it did make the stay far more magical. Our dogs have never seen snow like it before and they all enjoyed romping around in it on our walks on Sunday. Thanks to Jay for helping us out with the car on the Monday morning (although I was secretly hoping we'd get snowed in and have to stay at least another day).



The cottage itself was so well equipped. Everything and more you could need for your stay. You can see, these cottages have been refurbished with a level of love and personalisation that you rarely see in a holiday rental. They are just lovely and full of such nice touches. It really does feel like a home!



We will definitely return in the summer months, so we can experience more of what the area has to offer.

Stayed here for three nights and was blown away by the beautiful setting. So restful. Chose it for dog friendliness as well and we weren't disappointed. I'd love to go in different seasons to see the changing landscape. Cottage very comfortable and equipped with all you need. Owners were great, we hope to visit again.

We absolutely loved it , accommodation was beautiful with everything you need , the stunning sun set , the beautiful view .

I definitely be back but for 5 days next , so much to see and do .

The black lion pub was my favourite, very accommodating with 6 dogs , and fab food .

Perfectly pitched accommodation in a beautiful location with tranquility all around. The barns are warm, comfortable and tidy, but not so much that you can't relax. Situated on the side of the valley overlooking the beautiful landscape, you'll feel like you won't want to move. However, you'd miss out on the hundreds of acres of sheep free woodland that is right on your doorstep, perfect for long, sauntering walks, brisk paced short walks or even bike rides. Nikki and Jay will basically leave you in peace unless you need something, so tranquility and a real sense of a home from home is achieved.

Throw in the on site BBQ hut for a perfect chilled out meal and you've got a winner. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Just home from a fantastic week staying in the Bay Tree Barn. 3 adults and 8 dogs fitted in there completely fine - definitely dog friendly :) We walked in different places every day, all day, avoiding sheep, dogs had such a lovely time and so nice to come home to a warm cosy cottage at the end of the day. Just back from a relaxing weekend at The Hay Barn. We went with 3 dogs and managed to tire them out every day.

Be aware, there are sheep, lots of them, and low fences, but once we got into a routine of letting the dogs out on leads, they soon got used to seeing them.

The views are amazing! The location is great for accessing walks in the forest and lots of dog friendly beaches. Thoroughly recommend the Inn at the Sticks in Llansteffan who welcomed us with all our dogs.

All in all, a relaxing place to stay, in a great location.

After going to Jay and Nikki's for several years as a MudTrekker my husband finally treated me to a weekend there. We stayed in the Old Bike Shed for a long, cosy and romantic weekend. Gorgeous beach and forest walks as promised, along with amazing hospitality from Nikki and Jay. We also loved the BBQ hut �

He'll be back, we'll be back and hopefully our children will also get a chance to visit �
