It’s that time of year again and we are pleased to announce the launch of our “Christmas range”. In addition to the 6, 8, 12, 18 and 24 choc boxes, this year we also have “The Gin Tin” and “Sprouts”, as well as many, many other goodies in the shop. Look forward to seeing you.

Call me old fashioned, but I do like a dark chocolate Rose Fondant Cream, made with the UKs only maker of rose water Petals of the Valley who make in small batches, using traditional copper still, their own home grown roses and Welsh spring water, I don’t mind telling you!!

New on the counter, quite the most delicious, milk chocolate and Rubis Chocolate Wine (fortified red wine and chocolate flavour) truffles. Preparations are well underway for Abergavenny Food Festival this weekend, including new display units made by Nick Meyer. You’ll find us in Tiverton Place, stand no.26.

Congratulations to Michael and Sophie, who tied the knot 7th September 2019 at The globe at hay. Their invitation included a globe and blue butterfly, which we reproduced in chocolate, presented to each guest as favours, in a silver 2 choc box. The butterfly is milk butter truffle and the globe is fresh garden mint, from our own garden.

Where the heck did that year go!! Thrilled to celebrate our 1st Birthday and to have The Mayor of Brecon, the lovely Ann Mathias cut the ribbon and officially open Brecon Chocolates, a year to the day we first opened our doors, 26th July 2018! Thank you everyone for all your support, it’s been one hell of a journey, but we couldn’t have done it without you all! We hope you continue to enjoy our chocolates as we grow and evolve.

Early Sunday morning walk around Brecon Chocolates. As well all our lovely chocolates we also sell delicious soft serve GELATO 🍦 and a small selection of refreshing soft drinks to cool you down in the hot weather!

Well people, our fleet of chocolate bars has just got bigger! By popular request, we have made 100% Cocoa Mass 100g bars. 100% Cocoa Mass 30g Bookworms and....a wee 45g box of 11# 100% Cocoa Mass wafers!! We also have our own 70% dark chocolate CoalTown coffee bar, with dark chocolate covered coffee beans on the back!!! Our 70% Dark chocolate CoalTown coffee butter truffle packs a punch with a dark chocolate coated coffee bean on the top!... And, we have also been asked to make our own, 1% sugar, milk chocolate 100g bar, for our diabetic customers.

We’ve taken our Sustainability policy to the next level! No more plastic hair nets in Production for us, we’ve had bespoke, washable hats, hand made by Carrots & Cwtches. Quite apart from that, all our packaging is recyclable (subject to local facilities)the Natureflex bags we use are both biodegradable and compostable in compliance with EN13432. These compostable bags break down within a natural environment within 22 days and actually help to enrich the soil in the process.

Well it’s got a little warm for chocolate! But we’ve got it covered! Current flavour “Dark Chocolate and Orange” gelato. Dairy and gluten free. Large (£2.50) or small (£2.00) cones. We will also be doing: White chocolate and strawberry. Caramel. Vanilla, but only one flavour at a time! Please note we are having an air conditioned and humidity controlled stock room built on the shop floor Friday 5th July, so we will be closed, just for the day, many apologies for any inconvenience caused. We have 2 bottle fridges and 1 upright freezer, both just under warranty and hardly used, for sale. If anyone is interested, drop me a message.

We have extended our own range of handmade, in store, “milk chocolate” Moo Free Chocolates, for those of you who have a gluten free, soya free, dairy free or vegan diet. MooFree is organically certified chocolate, made using natural, high quality ingredients including single origin, organic cocoa mass from plantations in the Dominican Republic.

A brand new addition to our range of chocolate bars. Homemade, handmade “blond” chocolate, giving a creamy caramel and biscuit flavour, topped with pecans. And “Mr Biscuit The BookWorm”.

Summer is officially here and we’ve made our first batch of Wild Strawberry (from our own garden!) and pink peppercorn white chocolate ganache truffles!

All the preparations and hard work by Team BC have come to fruition! We’re all set and ready to go at The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society Small Holding and Countryside Festival. Saturday and Sunday. Come pay us a visit!
