About Brenin Automotive

I'm back!

After an entertaining 8 months working for Auto Defiance, the time has come for me to resurrect Brenin Automotive.

I can only apologise to any potential or previous customers that I may have neglected during my hiatus but rest assured I will do all that I can to help you with your electrical faults or project work from now on.

Again, a huge Thank You to everyone who has helped get us to the event. A big shout out to Graham Thomas and Jan Thomas. Though we've had our differences recently, you set me on the path to this awesome sport and I can't thank you enough. Maybe next year, you'll be with us to share in it too.

Our adventure on the WRGB National rally.

WRGB, where to start?
As you may know, I was due to compete on the WRGB National rally with James Curtis in the Brenin Automotive supported BMW 328 this past weekend. However, when the top end of the engine went noisy as we headed to scrutineering on Thursday afternoon, we thought that our rally was over before it had even began. A few frantic phone calls later and with the blessing of the Clerk of the Course and Chief Scrutineer (a huge thank you to them both) and we were ...able to get back home and use the evening to prepare Nige Curtis's Toyota AE86 Corolla for the event. After two days of competition, the hastily readied Corolla had got us to the end of the event in 35th position overall and 6th in class, our only issues being a broken map pocket (causing me to very nearly lose my road book) and a broken plug lead causing us to lose about 50 seconds on Sweet Lamb with the ensuing mis-fire.
All in all it was a brilliant event, one that I've wanted to do since I was a small kid and I really can't thank the following people enough:
James Curtis Farrier, thanks for an awesome spin mate, you drove really well all weekend. Maybe next time we won't be worrying about bending your Dads car and we can really press on :)
Nige Curtis, a massive thank you for lending us the Corolla at such short notice, you're a bloody star mate!
A big shout-out to our service crew, Mei Lloyd, Chris Norman and Andy Blondel for their help this weekend, we wouldn't have got the Corolla ready in time with out you guys!
And also to the organisers of the rally, who were so helpful and seemed genuinely pleased for us to have got a finish despite the early panic.
A shout out to to Olfi Camera too for the on-board camera. I'll get some footage together when I'm back from work.

As some of you may already know, I have recently taken up the opportunity to go back to my roots and work in the airfield sector again, so it's time that I formally announced that I am placing Brenin Automotive on hold for the time being.
That's not to say that I am totally winding up shop; I expect that by early 2019 Brenin Automotive will continue as a subsidiary of Brenin Technical Services Ltd but will focus solely on the classic and competition car electrical work.
I wo...uld like to say a huge thank you to all of my customers for your support over the last six and a half years and for giving me the opportunity to work on some fantastic vehicles, hopefully there will be a few more rarities for me to wire in the future!
Thanks again, and I'll keep this page updated when I open the doors again.

I don't post my work on here often but I'm really quite pleased with the lightening work I've done on this hillclimb/sprint Porsche Boxster.

The new bus is finally earning her keep. She's a bit distinctive so if you see us out and about, give us a wave 😁

Right, I'm back in the UK after an amazing week in Italy. Looks like it's time to get back to work.......just one more coffee first though, eh 😉

The "new" work's van, nearly ready for the road. I acquired her from a customer and have spent the last few months slowly re-commissioning her after being stood for nearly 5 years. There's only a few minor jobs left to do to get her M.O.T ready but as I plan on keeping her long-term, there's many years of modifications and enhancements to go (did anyone say turbo?)
