Went for breakfast today with my sister and sister in law was amazing and the staff was so friendly definitely recommend to anyone

We had our 3 Year olds bday party there today. Our host, Lucy, did a fantastic job. She was very good with the children. They were all able to choose a hot meal, it was very clean and perfect for exclusive hire at its extremely reasonably priced. It might be a bit small for an open party, but I would definitely recommend it.

Have been very impressed with the service recently, a huge improvement. Tonight we went for my sons birthday. We were originally a party of 20+ but with just the 9 of us that went they offered for us to move to a different place & closer to the play area. They asked if we'd like extra balloons to go with the ones we'd brought with us. Everyone's meals were all spot on & delicious too. The staff even decorated my lil boys dessert plate with "Happy birthday" written with chocolate sauce which he loved! They also made a big entrance with singing happy birthday & carried in his cake, plus gave us a sharp knife & napkins for us to cut it up.

Had a meal at crossways for my sisters birthday I had a rump steak jacket potato and side salad my hubby had a lovely curry buffet the steak was cooked medium to well and it was lovely my jacket potato was oven baked to perfection and the hubbys curry was a lovely meal he loved it so much he kept going back up for more will go there again for sure I give this place 5 � rating star were very helpful and polite and very nicely spoken at the bar when we ordered our food they made us all welcome there ty for excellent service guys x x x

Great atmosphere this evening and it's thanks to Becca, she was threat staff member id had the pleasure to meet in a long time, the food was also on point, best experience there to date.

After reading the reviews, I think I must have been to a different restaurant. The food isn't going to change your life, but tasty enough. The staff are friendly, but not in your face. I feel that it is just a comfortable place to go for a meal.

Sampled lunch from the new menu yesterday. Sat outside in the sun and food was very prompt. My only gripe was that my choice of lunch is pictured a lot on the menu and on posters around the pub but my plate of food didn't look as nice as the adverts .. and was missing two elements ... which when you've ordered a low calorie salad, you can ill-afford lol!

Food was ok but as a vegan am getting a bit bored with vegan burgers every meal

No wi-fi but that could only have been a glitch

Was disgusted at the way my friends child was treated tonight we was all there for one of the children's party and they refused my friends 9 year old daughter entry into the play area as she was not even an inch over the height yet another child in our party was 3 years older and the same height was allowed entry we complained to no avail while the one child had to stand by and every other child in our party play

Came here yesterday for my birthday meal with my children, mine and my 2 youngest children’s food was fine but my oldests was in edible.

She tried so hard to eat it picking at bits but it was that burnt it was black and disgusting. I’m not one to complain because everything else was lovely, their desserts were also lovely, it’s just a shame that I spent £50 and my oldest couldn’t eat her food...

Also the waitress didn’t even ask how our meal was or clear our plates from the table before giving the desserts so the table was very full... it wasn’t a very pleasant experience.

Well I’ve been there before and it was good for the kids when there 22/6/18 slide for the kids was broke not a good start then food turned up mine was good, but the kids meals turns up with no fruit shoots which was paid for and no burger in my boys bun other than that the staff was lovely.

We had a table booked for 6pm, when we arrived we were told our table had somebody sat on so would have to sit somewhere else.

This wasn’t a problem as there was ample sitting but just thought they should’ve reserved the table for bookings.

We ordered food as soon as we got there but waited an hour for it, although they did bring my daughters out within 20 minutes which was good as she is only 1 and was getting hungry but not so good that we had to wait another 40 minutes for ours, by this time our daughter had finished hers and was getting fed up of being sat in a high chair.

Food was OK but chips were cold and orders were not completely correct (such as burgers had sauce when requested not to, steak was well done when asked for medium rare). Other than that it was ok.

We ordered dessert by 7:30, by this time it was almost empty in the restaurant, we ordered 3 of the same dessert we didn’t receive them until 8:15 which by then we had one very agitated & tired daughter. Desserts finally came, ice cream had melted and the cake was cold when it was supposed to be warm, so it must’ve been sat on the side awhile before served to us.

All in all it was an ok meal but the timekeeping wasn’t the best considering it wasn’t too busy there.

The place was full of unsupervised children running around shouting, screaming and crying. Its an accident waiting to happen when your scruffily dressed waitresses are carrying plates of hot food with small children running around. We ate our meals as quickly as we could and left.

Had many family meals here & was always lovely and packed. Feel like it’s gone down hill, it was extremely quiet & I asked for medium rare steak to be given an extremely well done tasteless one with half my chips soggy.

Burgers were over cooked,dry and not worth the £10 paid, ..Stella was ok and service was the saving grace .. 3rd time we've had food there as it's the only place to go local with children's activities !! Was hoping 3rd time lucky but unfortunately it was the worst time .. just a pint next time !!!

What an awful family restaurant, had booked a table weeks ago for 19 of us to celebrate my wedding with the family, had ordered food, all starters were served together which was great, considering we all had ordered separate, but ordering on the same table number, however when it come to the mains from the first person being bought there meal, and one of the last was an hour, everyone had finished, by the time 4 of our meals were served, was expecting the last 2 meals to shortly follow but never did, when we went to complain, there was no apology or explanation give just offered a refund for the 2 meals that hadn’t turned up! So my parents didn’t eat at what was ment to of been a family celebration,

Within 10 minutes of my children being there about 8 older children entered the play area without paying cussing and being boisterous. We complained to staff to be told that it was the young boy who lived there (tom) and his friends and there was nothing they could do about it. 1 poor young boy (aged about 18months) got trampled on but still staff said they couldn't do anything. After all 3 of my children were afraid to go play we decided to cancel our meal and go elsewhere and so did 2 other families. I will personally be avoiding at all costs in the future.

The food is disgusting my chicken full of liquid,salad was inedible,and chips were under cooked,staff don't give a dam,need to have training in politeness,we sat in the beer garden as my grandchildren wanted to play on the new climbing frame only until my granddaughter fell through the walkway straight on to the ground and for a 2yr old it was quite high,no netting around it to stop children falling through very very dangerous but again management don't give a dam.

Staff was misreable chatted amoungst themselfs rather than serve. My sons dinner was cold and replaced with what looked like burnt beans. Curry buffet was nice but only warm. Not much choice no lables and was told a curry was not spicy only to be extreamly spicy. Dirty floors. Overall an unplesant experence. Wont be back in a hurry.

Sent back our daughters meal,, Cod bites were well over cooked. Paid for upgraded steaks on 2 mixed grills, didn’t get them. Grandson had a chicken burger,,,, was not fully cooked. Have visited on 3 separate occasions,,, all with complaints. Think we done with that place now.

Pre-booked a table online only to see it being given to another couple who arrived just in front of us who hadn't pre-booked. I clearly heard the waiter tell the waitress that the table was already reserved for Fieldhouse, yet she sat the other couple there anyway. When I questioned her about this she told me it was because they arrived before us. Obviously no point in pre-booking a table then! She then tried to sit us on a table so close to another table we would have literally been sitting with another family and then right by the entrance to the kids play area. At this point we left to go and eat elsewhere. I will never return to this place again after today's awful service.

The waitress brought our desserts out and moved the plates out of the way to put them down and not 1 attempt to take them out. When she returned to serve another table we asked for her to remove some she managed to take 1 plate with an attitude then completely ignore the rest on the table while making numorous trips to other customers around us going back empty handed and not just our table noticed it either other customers commented how her attitude was and how she didn't like to remove plates from the tables

My granddaughter was there today and wanted a glass of water but you wouldn’t give her a glass of free water she had to pay for it . Bloody disgusting considering the weather and she is only 2 1/2. You should all be ashamed of yourselves and I will be spreading the word on facebook for people to be aware and avoid

Large party 20+ each family ordered & paid for their meals separately. Food came out for most families. Two of the families orders didn’t arrive & when asked we were assured it was on its way. Asked again after 10 minutes only to be given our money back for the meals and told they couldn’t serve it unless we re-ordered at the bar (this was over an hour after originally ordering)! My 2 year old was hungry & very confused after sitting and watching other children eat!

Mozzarella sticks were so cremated they were completely inedible. I haven't seen one member of staff smile. Bad atmosphere, poor service, even poorer standard of food. Disgusted by the lack of welfare and safety for children in Charlie Chok play area. They charge £3 but do not supervise children.



My daughter was brutally assaulted last night there and no staff were around to report the serious assault immediately. The parents attitude was appalling. Often the desk is unstaffed. I have often seen children distraught and parents disgusted by the staff doing nothing to protect the safety of children.



My daughter was held down by one big boy while the other repeatedly stamped on her head. The parents did nothing and when I reported it the children were still allowed to play. I was given a refund and my daughter had a free slush puppy, but that does not compensate from poor management.



This place needs shut down if useless management are unable to ensure the safety and well-being of the children. The staff are often useless and do not care about safety.

Crap service!!!! Staff didn't know their arse from their elbow!! Shown to a table, went to the bar to get drinks come back and staff have given our table to other visitors! Waiting 20 mins to order food due to staff chatting & hugging each other behind the bar taking no notice of the customers!! Photos of meals are misleading,children's nuggets were very hard and small!!! Marshmallows on kids ice cream where solid as if they had been frozen!! Slug trails on carpet,lamp shade burnt,toilet door hanging off with a screw driver jammed between it!!!!! Seems very under staffed!!!! Won't be visiting again in a hurry!!!!!!!

Couldn't use my vouchers although I would like a definition of chefs counter as I would assume this is the carvery which couldn't be used and it states on my child's birthday voucher it could be used if this is the case. His comment along the lines of " you people who just use vouchers and want everything for free" was clearly unprofessional and he shouldn't be a manager because he clearly needs some customer care skills especially as I have bad anxiety and was hard enough going to this busy and understaffed restaurant! Also wasn't just this we had to wait nearly and hour for our desserts. Very poorly run will stick to other branches from now on !!!!

Absolutely disgusting meal. how many mistakes can be made in two meals is unbelievable from a cold burger to cremated mozzarella sticks. all the staff have a I don’t care attitude an clearly got there mind on other things than there job. Awful experience here this evening. Came with family to celebrate a birthday. Food took over an hour to arrive, excuse was they were busy even though half the tables were empty and then they couldn’t find our table. When eventually food arrived it was cold. This was returned and half of it when brought back was still cold. Half of the order was forgotten and my poor 5 year old son was crying in hunger as his food had been forgotten. Having visited many times I am truly shocked by how poor the food and service was this evening. Will seriously think twice about visiting again.

We had our 3 Year olds bday party there today. Our host, Lucy, did a fantastic job. She was very good with the children. They were all able to choose a hot meal, it was very clean and perfect for exclusive hire at its extremely reasonably priced. It might be a bit small for an open party, but I would definitely recommend it.

Have been very impressed with the service recently, a huge improvement. Tonight we went for my sons birthday. We were originally a party of 20+ but with just the 9 of us that went they offered for us to move to a different place & closer to the play area. They asked if we'd like extra balloons to go with the ones we'd brought with us. Everyone's meals were all spot on & delicious too. The staff even decorated my lil boys dessert plate with "Happy birthday" written with chocolate sauce which he loved! They also made a big entrance with singing happy birthday & carried in his cake, plus gave us a sharp knife & napkins for us to cut it up.

Had a meal at crossways for my sisters birthday I had a rump steak jacket potato and side salad my hubby had a lovely curry buffet the steak was cooked medium to well and it was lovely my jacket potato was oven baked to perfection and the hubbys curry was a lovely meal he loved it so much he kept going back up for more will go there again for sure I give this place 5 � rating star were very helpful and polite and very nicely spoken at the bar when we ordered our food they made us all welcome there ty for excellent service guys x x x

Great atmosphere this evening and it's thanks to Becca, she was threat staff member id had the pleasure to meet in a long time, the food was also on point, best experience there to date.

After reading the reviews, I think I must have been to a different restaurant. The food isn't going to change your life, but tasty enough. The staff are friendly, but not in your face. I feel that it is just a comfortable place to go for a meal.

Sampled lunch from the new menu yesterday. Sat outside in the sun and food was very prompt. My only gripe was that my choice of lunch is pictured a lot on the menu and on posters around the pub but my plate of food didn't look as nice as the adverts .. and was missing two elements ... which when you've ordered a low calorie salad, you can ill-afford lol!

Food was ok but as a vegan am getting a bit bored with vegan burgers every meal

Was disgusted at the way my friends child was treated tonight we was all there for one of the children's party and they refused my friends 9 year old daughter entry into the play area as she was not even an inch over the height yet another child in our party was 3 years older and the same height was allowed entry we complained to no avail while the one child had to stand by and every other child in our party play

Came here yesterday for my birthday meal with my children, mine and my 2 youngest children’s food was fine but my oldests was in edible.

We ordered dessert by 7:30, by this time it was almost empty in the restaurant, we ordered 3 of the same dessert we didn’t receive them until 8:15 which by then we had one very agitated & tired daughter. Desserts finally came, ice cream had melted and the cake was cold when it was supposed to be warm, so it must’ve been sat on the side awhile before served to us.

All in all it was an ok meal but the timekeeping wasn’t the best considering it wasn’t too busy there.

What an awful family restaurant, had booked a table weeks ago for 19 of us to celebrate my wedding with the family, had ordered food, all starters were served together which was great, considering we all had ordered separate, but ordering on the same table number, however when it come to the mains from the first person being bought there meal, and one of the last was an hour, everyone had finished, by the time 4 of our meals were served, was expecting the last 2 meals to shortly follow but never did, when we went to complain, there was no apology or explanation give just offered a refund for the 2 meals that hadn’t turned up! So my parents didn’t eat at what was ment to of been a family celebration,

We complained to staff to be told that it was the young boy who lived there (tom) and his friends and there was nothing they could do about it. 1 poor young boy (aged about 18months) got trampled on but still staff said they couldn't do anything. After all 3 of my children were afraid to go play we decided to cancel our meal and go elsewhere and so did 2 other families. I will personally be avoiding at all costs in the future.

The food is disgusting my chicken full of liquid,salad was inedible,and chips were under cooked,staff don't give a dam,need to have training in politeness,we sat in the beer garden as my grandchildren wanted to play on the new climbing frame only until my granddaughter fell through the walkway straight on to the ground and for a 2yr old it was quite high,no netting around it to stop children falling through very very dangerous but again management don't give a dam.

Staff was misreable chatted amoungst themselfs rather than serve. My sons dinner was cold and replaced with what looked like burnt beans. Curry buffet was nice but only warm. Not much choice no lables and was told a curry was not spicy only to be extreamly spicy. Dirty floors. Overall an unplesant experence. Wont be back in a hurry.

Sent back our daughters meal,, Cod bites were well over cooked. Paid for upgraded steaks on 2 mixed grills, didn’t get them. Grandson had a chicken burger,,,, was not fully cooked. Have visited on 3 separate occasions,,, all with complaints. Think we done with that place now.

Pre-booked a table online only to see it being given to another couple who arrived just in front of us who hadn't pre-booked. I clearly heard the waiter tell the waitress that the table was already reserved for Fieldhouse, yet she sat the other couple there anyway. When I questioned her about this she told me it was because they arrived before us. Obviously no point in pre-booking a table then! She then tried to sit us on a table so close to another table we would have literally been sitting with another family and then right by the entrance to the kids play area. At this point we left to go and eat elsewhere. I will never return to this place again after today's awful service.

My daughter was brutally assaulted last night there and no staff were around to report the serious assault immediately. The parents attitude was appalling. Often the desk is unstaffed. I have often seen children distraught and parents disgusted by the staff doing nothing to protect the safety of children.



My daughter was held down by one big boy while the other repeatedly stamped on her head. The parents did nothing and when I reported it the children were still allowed to play. I was given a refund and my daughter had a free slush puppy, but that does not compensate from poor management.



This place needs shut down if useless management are unable to ensure the safety and well-being of the children. The staff are often useless and do not care about safety.

Crap service!!!! Staff didn't know their arse from their elbow!! Shown to a table, went to the bar to get drinks come back and staff have given our table to other visitors! Waiting 20 mins to order food due to staff chatting & hugging each other behind the bar taking no notice of the customers!! Photos of meals are misleading,children's nuggets were very hard and small!!! Marshmallows on kids ice cream where solid as if they had been frozen!! Slug trails on carpet,lamp shade burnt,toilet door hanging off with a screw driver jammed between it!!!!! Seems very under staffed!!!! Won't be visiting again in a hurry!!!!!!!

Couldn't use my vouchers although I would like a definition of chefs counter as I would assume this is the carvery which couldn't be used and it states on my child's birthday voucher it could be used if this is the case. His comment along the lines of " you people who just use vouchers and want everything for free" was clearly unprofessional and he shouldn't be a manager because he clearly needs some customer care skills especially as I have bad anxiety and was hard enough going to this busy and understaffed restaurant! Slug trails on carpet,lamp shade burnt,toilet door hanging off with a screw driver jammed between it!!!!! Seems very under staffed!!!! Won't be visiting again in a hurry!!!!!!!

Couldn't use my vouchers although I would like a definition of chefs counter as I would assume this is the carvery which couldn't be used and it states on my child's birthday voucher it could be used if this is the case. His comment along the lines of " you people who just use vouchers and want everything for free" was clearly unprofessional and he shouldn't be a manager because he clearly needs some customer care skills especially as I have bad anxiety and was hard enough going to this busy and understaffed restaurant! Also wasn't just this we had to wait nearly and hour for our desserts. Very poorly run will stick to other branches from now on !!!!

We had our 3 Year olds bday party there today. Our host, Lucy, did a fantastic job. She was very good with the children. They were all able to choose a hot meal, it was very clean and perfect for exclusive hire at its extremely reasonably priced. It might be a bit small for an open party, but I would definitely recommend it.

Have been very impressed with the service recently, a huge improvement. Tonight we went for my sons birthday. We were originally a party of 20+ but with just the 9 of us that went they offered for us to move to a different place & closer to the play area. They asked if we'd like extra balloons to go with the ones we'd brought with us. Everyone's meals were all spot on & delicious too. The staff even decorated my lil boys dessert plate with "Happy birthday" written with chocolate sauce which he loved! They also made a big entrance with singing happy birthday & carried in his cake, plus gave us a sharp knife & napkins for us to cut it up.

Had a meal at crossways for my sisters birthday I had a rump steak jacket potato and side salad my hubby had a lovely curry buffet the steak was cooked medium to well and it was lovely my jacket potato was oven baked to perfection and the hubbys curry was a lovely meal he loved it so much he kept going back up for more will go there again for sure I give this place 5 � rating star were very helpful and polite and very nicely spoken at the bar when we ordered our food they made us all welcome there ty for excellent service guys x x x

Great atmosphere this evening and it's thanks to Becca, she was threat staff member id had the pleasure to meet in a long time, the food was also on point, best experience there to date.

After reading the reviews, I think I must have been to a different restaurant. The food isn't going to change your life, but tasty enough. The staff are friendly, but not in your face. I feel that it is just a comfortable place to go for a meal.

Sampled lunch from the new menu yesterday. Sat outside in the sun and food was very prompt. My only gripe was that my choice of lunch is pictured a lot on the menu and on posters around the pub but my plate of food didn't look as nice as the adverts .. and was missing two elements ... which when you've ordered a low calorie salad, you can ill-afford lol!

Desserts finally came, ice cream had melted and the cake was cold when it was supposed to be warm, so it must’ve been sat on the side awhile before served to us.

What an awful family restaurant, had booked a table weeks ago for 19 of us to celebrate my wedding with the family, had ordered food, all starters were served together which was great, considering we all had ordered separate, but ordering on the same table number, however when it come to the mains from the first person being bought there meal, and one of the last was an hour, everyone had finished, by the time 4 of our meals were served, was expecting the last 2 meals to shortly follow but never did, when we went to complain, there was no apology or explanation give just offered a refund for the 2 meals that hadn’t turned up! So my parents didn’t eat at what was ment to of been a family celebration,

We complained to staff to be told that it was the young boy who lived there (tom) and his friends and there was nothing they could do about it. 1 poor young boy (aged about 18months) got trampled on but still staff said they couldn't do anything. After all 3 of my children were afraid to go play we decided to cancel our meal and go elsewhere and so did 2 other families. I will personally be avoiding at all costs in the future.

The food is disgusting my chicken full of liquid,salad was inedible,and chips were under cooked,staff don't give a dam,need to have training in politeness,we sat in the beer garden as my grandchildren wanted to play on the new climbing frame only until my granddaughter fell through the walkway straight on to the ground and for a 2yr old it was quite high,no netting around it to stop children falling through very very dangerous but again management don't give a dam.

Staff was misreable chatted amoungst themselfs rather than serve. My sons dinner was cold and replaced with what looked like burnt beans. Curry buffet was nice but only warm. Not much choice no lables and was told a curry was not spicy only to be extreamly spicy. Dirty floors. Overall an unplesant experence. Wont be back in a hurry.

Sent back our daughters meal,, Cod bites were well over cooked. Paid for upgraded steaks on 2 mixed grills, didn’t get them. Grandson had a chicken burger,,,, was not fully cooked. Have visited on 3 separate occasions,,, all with complaints. Think we done with that place now.

Pre-booked a table online only to see it being given to another couple who arrived just in front of us who hadn't pre-booked. I clearly heard the waiter tell the waitress that the table was already reserved for Fieldhouse, yet she sat the other couple there anyway. When I questioned her about this she told me it was because they arrived before us. Obviously no point in pre-booking a table then! She then tried to sit us on a table so close to another table we would have literally been sitting with another family and then right by the entrance to the kids play area. At this point we left to go and eat elsewhere. I will never return to this place again after today's awful service.

My daughter was brutally assaulted last night there and no staff were around to report the serious assault immediately. The parents attitude was appalling. Often the desk is unstaffed. I have often seen children distraught and parents disgusted by the staff doing nothing to protect the safety of children.



My daughter was held down by one big boy while the other repeatedly stamped on her head. The parents did nothing and when I reported it the children were still allowed to play. I was given a refund and my daughter had a free slush puppy, but that does not compensate from poor management.

Disgusted by the lack of welfare and safety for children in Charlie Chok play area. They charge £3 but do not supervise children.



My daughter was brutally assaulted last night there and no staff were around to report the serious assault immediately. The parents attitude was appalling. Often the desk is unstaffed. I have often seen children distraught and parents disgusted by the staff doing nothing to protect the safety of children.



My daughter was held down by one big boy while the other repeatedly stamped on her head. The parents did nothing and when I reported it the children were still allowed to play. I was given a refund and my daughter had a free slush puppy, but that does not compensate from poor management.



This place needs shut down if useless management are unable to ensure the safety and well-being of the children. The staff are often useless and do not care about safety.

Crap service!!!! Staff didn't know their arse from their elbow!! Shown to a table, went to the bar to get drinks come back and staff have given our table to other visitors! Waiting 20 mins to order food due to staff chatting & hugging each other behind the bar taking no notice of the customers!! Photos of meals are misleading,children's nuggets were very hard and small!!! Marshmallows on kids ice cream where solid as if they had been frozen!! Slug trails on carpet,lamp shade burnt,toilet door hanging off with a screw driver jammed between it!!!!! Seems very under staffed!!!! Won't be visiting again in a hurry!!!!!!!

Awful experience today and 2nd run in with the manager who is clearly on a power trip whilst he sips on tea and orange juice at the bar. Couldn't use my vouchers although I would like a definition of chefs counter as I would assume this is the carvery which couldn't be used and it states on my child's birthday voucher it could be used if this is the case. His comment along the lines of " you people who just use vouchers and want everything for free" was clearly unprofessional and he shouldn't be a manager because he clearly needs some customer care skills especially as I have bad anxiety and was hard enough going to this busy and understaffed restaurant! Also wasn't just this we had to wait nearly and hour for our desserts. Very poorly run will stick to other branches from now on !!!!

Awful experience here this evening. Came with family to celebrate a birthday. Food took over an hour to arrive, excuse was they were busy even though half the tables were empty and then they couldn’t find our table. When eventually food arrived it was cold. This was returned and half of it when brought back was still cold. Half of the order was forgotten and my poor 5 year old son was crying in hunger as his food had been forgotten. Having visited many times I am truly shocked by how poor the food and service was this evening. Will seriously think twice about visiting again.

After many years of going to Crossways on Christmas Eve with family & friends, I have to say it was the worst customer experience on service We have ever experienced, food was took over an 1 1/2 to serve & when it did come it was cold.

Absolutely disgusting meal. how many mistakes can be made in two meals is unbelievable from a cold burger to cremated mozzarella sticks. all the staff have a I don’t care attitude an clearly got there mind on other things than there job. Will never be coming back again pay good money for terrible food and even worse service. It’s that bad this is the first time I have ever felt I need to leave a review

friendly staff always do there best to help... only down side is not enough veg for the cavery.

Went for breakfast today with my sister and sister in law was amazing and the staff was so friendly definitely recommend to anyone

We had our 3 Year olds bday party there today. Our host, Lucy, did a fantastic job. She was very good with the children. They were all able to choose a hot meal, it was very clean and perfect for exclusive hire at its extremely reasonably priced. It might be a bit small for an open party, but I would definitely recommend it.

Have been very impressed with the service recently, a huge improvement. Tonight we went for my sons birthday. We were originally a party of 20+ but with just the 9 of us that went they offered for us to move to a different place & closer to the play area. They asked if we'd like extra balloons to go with the ones we'd brought with us. Everyone's meals were all spot on & delicious too. The staff even decorated my lil boys dessert plate with "Happy birthday" written with chocolate sauce which he loved! They also made a big entrance with singing happy birthday & carried in his cake, plus gave us a sharp knife & napkins for us to cut it up.

Had a meal at crossways for my sisters birthday I had a rump steak jacket potato and side salad my hubby had a lovely curry buffet the steak was cooked medium to well and it was lovely my jacket potato was oven baked to perfection and the hubbys curry was a lovely meal he loved it so much he kept going back up for more will go there again for sure I give this place 5 � rating star were very helpful and polite and very nicely spoken at the bar when we ordered our food they made us all welcome there ty for excellent service guys x x x

Great atmosphere this evening and it's thanks to Becca, she was threat staff member id had the pleasure to meet in a long time, the food was also on point, best experience there to date.

After reading the reviews, I think I must have been to a different restaurant. The food isn't going to change your life, but tasty enough. The staff are friendly, but not in your face. I feel that it is just a comfortable place to go for a meal.

Sampled lunch from the new menu yesterday. Sat outside in the sun and food was very prompt. My only gripe was that my choice of lunch is pictured a lot on the menu and on posters around the pub but my plate of food didn't look as nice as the adverts .. and was missing two elements ... which when you've ordered a low calorie salad, you can ill-afford lol!

Food was ok but as a vegan am getting a bit bored with vegan burgers every meal

Was disgusted at the way my friends child was treated tonight we was all there for one of the children's party and they refused my friends 9 year old daughter entry into the play area as she was not even an inch over the height yet another child in our party was 3 years older and the same height was allowed entry we complained to no avail while the one child had to stand by and every other child in our party play

Came here yesterday for my birthday meal with my children, mine and my 2 youngest children’s food was fine but my oldests was in edible.

She tried so hard to eat it picking at bits but it was that burnt it was black and disgusting. I’m not one to complain because everything else was lovely, their desserts were also lovely, it’s just a shame that I spent £50 and my oldest couldn’t eat her food...

Also the waitress didn’t even ask how our meal was or clear our plates from the table before giving the desserts so the table was very full... it wasn’t a very pleasant experience.

Well I’ve been there before and it was good for the kids when there 22/6/18 slide for the kids was broke not a good start then food turned up mine was good, but the kids meals turns up with no fruit shoots which was paid for and no burger in my boys bun other than that the staff was lovely.

We had a table booked for 6pm, when we arrived we were told our table had somebody sat on so would have to sit somewhere else.

This wasn’t a problem as there was ample sitting but just thought they should’ve reserved the table for bookings.

We ordered food as soon as we got there but waited an hour for it, although they did bring my daughters out within 20 minutes which was good as she is only 1 and was getting hungry but not so good that we had to wait another 40 minutes for ours, by this time our daughter had finished hers and was getting fed up of being sat in a high chair.

Food was OK but chips were cold and orders were not completely correct (such as burgers had sauce when requested not to, steak was well done when asked for medium rare). Other than that it was ok.

We ordered dessert by 7:30, by this time it was almost empty in the restaurant, we ordered 3 of the same dessert we didn’t receive them until 8:15 which by then we had one very agitated & tired daughter. Desserts finally came, ice cream had melted and the cake was cold when it was supposed to be warm, so it must’ve been sat on the side awhile before served to us.

All in all it was an ok meal but the timekeeping wasn’t the best considering it wasn’t too busy there.

Visiting the area we called in and had food on Saturday 18th November. We both had the mixed grill which was small and basic . The place was full of unsupervised children running around shouting, screaming and crying. Its an accident waiting to happen when your scruffily dressed waitresses are carrying plates of hot food with small children running around. We ate our meals as quickly as we could and left.

Had many family meals here & was always lovely and packed. Feel like it’s gone down hill, it was extremely quiet & I asked for medium rare steak to be given an extremely well done tasteless one with half my chips soggy.

Burgers were over cooked,dry and not worth the £10 paid, ..Stella was ok and service was the saving grace .. 3rd time we've had food there as it's the only place to go local with children's activities !! Was hoping 3rd time lucky but unfortunately it was the worst time .. just a pint next time !!!

Booked a table a week in advance for my mums birthday , phoned up the morning we were going there to make sure it was booked and when we arrived they had given the table to some one else, when we spoke to them about it they just didn’t care . We asked for extra hollandaise sauce and they said it was an extra pound which we didn’t mine and when it arrive it was about a tablespoon apart from that the food was ok

What an awful family restaurant, had booked a table weeks ago for 19 of us to celebrate my wedding with the family, had ordered food, all starters were served together which was great, considering we all had ordered separate, but ordering on the same table number, however when it come to the mains from the first person being bought there meal, and one of the last was an hour, everyone had finished, by the time 4 of our meals were served, was expecting the last 2 meals to shortly follow but never did, when we went to complain, there was no apology or explanation give just offered a refund for the 2 meals that hadn’t turned up! So my parents didn’t eat at what was ment to of been a family celebration,

We visited for a family birthday meal as we had 3 young children in tow and was told they had a soft play area for young ones. We paid £3 per child to play which we thought was a decent price to pay. Within 10 minutes of my children being there about 8 older children entered the play area without paying cussing and being boisterous. We complained to staff to be told that it was the young boy who lived there (tom) and his friends and there was nothing they could do about it. 1 poor young boy (aged about 18months) got trampled on but still staff said they couldn't do anything. After all 3 of my children were afraid to go play we decided to cancel our meal and go elsewhere and so did 2 other families. I will personally be avoiding at all costs in the future.

We have had so many family meals here that it's a shame it's gone so bad. We had a family meal to celebrate a child's birthday. It went from bad to worse. They forgot to bring 2 child's starters out even though it was asked a few times where they were, they lost an order even though the starters had been served off that order, meat was not cooked to each persons liking & was very tough & rubbery! The counter food was over cooked & had no taste. Asked for a manager to come to our table 5 times & when he did his attitude was disgusting & he was down right rude! He over spoke each of us while we was talking to him, he would not except the food was to a very poor standard. Not one person on our 2 tables eat all there food. There was 8 adults & 7 children. I think the manager needs to change his attitude towards customers

This place has gone well down hill, would not eat here again, staff were rude & all looked like they had the hump, manageress was useless not helpful when asked for another child's meal as the one brought out looked like it had been sat for hours & reheated in a microwave disgusting!!!!!

The food is disgusting my chicken full of liquid,salad was inedible,and chips were under cooked,staff don't give a dam,need to have training in politeness,we sat in the beer garden as my grandchildren wanted to play on the new climbing frame only until my granddaughter fell through the walkway straight on to the ground and for a 2yr old it was quite high,no netting around it to stop children falling through very very dangerous but again management don't give a dam.

Sent back our daughters meal,, Cod bites were well over cooked. Paid for upgraded steaks on 2 mixed grills, didn’t get them. Grandson had a chicken burger,,,, was not fully cooked. Have visited on 3 separate occasions,,, all with complaints. Think we done with that place now.

Pre-booked a table online only to see it being given to another couple who arrived just in front of us who hadn't pre-booked. I clearly heard the waiter tell the waitress that the table was already reserved for Fieldhouse, yet she sat the other couple there anyway. When I questioned her about this she told me it was because they arrived before us. Obviously no point in pre-booking a table then! She then tried to sit us on a table so close to another table we would have literally been sitting with another family and then right by the entrance to the kids play area. At this point we left to go and eat elsewhere. I will never return to this place again after today's awful service.

Not the 1st time this has happened being here. We was a family of 6 and after finishing a starter and 6 meals the table was full of dishes. The waitress brought our desserts out and moved the plates out of the way to put them down and not 1 attempt to take them out. When she returned to serve another table we asked for her to remove some she managed to take 1 plate with an attitude then completely ignore the rest on the table while making numorous trips to other customers around us going back empty handed and not just our table noticed it either other customers commented how her attitude was and how she didn't like to remove plates from the tables

Large party 20+ each family ordered & paid for their meals separately. Food came out for most families. Two of the families orders didn’t arrive & when asked we were assured it was on its way. Asked again after 10 minutes only to be given our money back for the meals and told they couldn’t serve it unless we re-ordered at the bar (this was over an hour after originally ordering)! My 2 year old was hungry & very confused after sitting and watching other children eat!
