Went to Brewers Fayre this morning for breakfast. Have been before and both times we've been welcomed by the lovely Christine! The food is freshly cooked to order and while you wait there's a complete continental buffet with cereals, yogurts, pastries etc. And a selection of hot drinks and juices. Great hospitality once again by Christine, same time next week please!

Two thumbs up... I've been eating & drinking here the whole week staying at the Premier inn and I've had nothing but decent service and excellent food. Keep it up guys. All the best :-)

The child i was with said "Really posh and very nice food. I like playing in the park."

Had a meal for Valentine's day and as always meals was beautiful and the service is brilliant we will definitely recommend going to your meals here and will definitely be going back

First time visiting as recently moved to the area. Staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. The soft play is brilliant if you have children, the staff were great with the children. Food was also brilliant, no problems at all. We will definitely be returning xxx

Fairly local to this establishment. It used to have terrible service and very greasy food many years ago but now; the food is great! In all the times I’ve ate here only had one hiccup with the order. Staff are friendly and willing to go above board. Drinks are a little pricey but there are great meal deals for those on a budget and unlimited cold drinks/ tea & coffee. Recommend it any time!

Always have good food here! Staff are always so nice and friendly! Sometimes theres a wait but when its busy its kinda expected! They have the indoor play area (even tho i think it should be cheaper espically as they have had the outside park closed as its unsafe!) And they really need to get the flavoured Pepsi back as this pub is the only 1 which seems to be bothered about the extra sugar tax or get sugar free flavours! I also like the fact that they keep sending me buy 1 get 1 free vouchers

User

The food was excellent and cooked extremely well. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Everything we requested we got. Would definitely go here again

User

Its a comfortable friendly pub/restaurant with pub classic & slight twist on pub classic food. Family & couple friendly

User

The last few months i have had meals here, because a friend thinks its great, the meals are mostly nice, the staff are friendly, but what really annoys Me Is the lack of staff serving, the läst time I was there i was in a big queue, + the customer in front was also saying why dont they have more staff serving, tonight it took Me 15 minutes to Pay the bill 😠😠 cause One Person taking meal order, & One Person taking orders for drinks!!! More staff needed to Serve!!!

User

Service very good. Food was OK been there a few times now, would probably go back, you know what to expect.

User

Food was lovely but why should people pay for their children to go in play area £3.00 after we already paying for food to eat their it should be FREE

User

We had a table of 6 and everybody had their food at different times 1 meal was sent back has his steak still had blood in it a d was asked to be cooked well done another meal was a burger pie and the crust was hard they couldn't get their knife in it the service was a shambles very disappointed.

User

Decided to pop in for a late lunch.understood the restaurant was busy but not for the first time it seemed that our food Took ages to arrive . Didn’t seem to be enough staff ,food was okey but nothing special sorry . Not on top of our places to visit again.

User

We booked a table for my family which included 6 of us which of those were two babies online.

Once arrived we asked for high chairs (as there is no option on there to request high chairs when booking) to only be told that there is no high chairs and we would have to wait. I had asked Jade I believe her name was Who was at the front telling everyone where to sit, how long would I actually be waiting for a high chair as we booked a table and we can’t eat until the babies are sat down to which her reply was well the high chairs are first come first serve. After she said she would go and look again for me for a high chair she never returned to say there is one or isn’t which really annoyed me, how rude!

After this I kept walking around the restaurant myself to have to find myself my own high chair!! To which I did.

After we had finished our food, my niece wanted to go into the play centre bit (main reason we went there as the babies could have a play) to only be told she couldn’t go in as it was full! Nothing on the door until you actually go into the play bit, explain to me how are you suppose to say to a two year old you can’t play?

After asking to speak to a manager she just stood there and said sorry, we asked her how many high chairs were in the building and she said 18, first of all I did know if she was trying to have a joke with us, 18!!! So why the hell couldn’t we have just one? I actually counted all the high chairs in the restaurant and there were only 5.

Food was ok, didn’t enjoy it as we had to wait so long to actually eat due to the chair situation.

We are normally regulars to this place as it’s cheap and cheerful, nice play bit for the kids but we will not be returning. The lack of care and attentiveness really showed today, staff huffing and puffing, one guy huffing because he tried to bring us someone else’s desert, which were the table next to us and he just put them down really rudely. He even said the table number but still tried to give it to us!

After reading some of the reviews lately, it looks like this place needs a bit of attention from higher up as it doesn’t seem to be preforming.

User

This is the worst place I eaten in a very long time. For the evening meal I opted for two starters and a main, I know that's a bit greedy but I didn't have desert so forgive me! The Chilli was burned with a skin over the source, the rice was stuck together in big chunks, I'm guessing re-heated from someone else's plate. The Brie in Breadcrumbs were serviced cold, with absolutely no garnish or source as per menu and the breaded garlic mushrooms again came with no garnish just a couple of balls lumped on a plate.

At breakfast the following morning, I could 5 people in the restaurant, but although paying extra for breakfast I left without eating as the 3 staff were too busy chin-wagging to serve the 5 people. If they can't be bothered to take a breakfast order why don't they place it out for self service like other cheap venues?

In defence the Premier Inn next door was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. However, the room was freezing so although I don't really feel the cold, I believe that would be a big fail for most other people.

Suffice to say I travel a lot and normally do not wish to waste my valuable time leaving negative reviews, I am much more likely to leave a positive review. But this hapless outfit is most certainly in need of some feedback in order to improve in customer service, quality of food and preparation; to name just a couple of aspects.

This place was a massive fail for me and has put me right off Premier Inn.

My husband and I called at the Brewers Fayre at Ebbw Vale this afternoon for a bite to eat and wished we'd never bothered due to waiting 50 minutes for our food to be brought out and then both meals were cold but not just any old cold freezing! My husband ordered mushrooms in breadcrumbs and it was litterly just that?

I had the cheese and red onion tart which was ok, for mains hubby had lasagne with a slice of garlic bread and a side order of chips well the chips were cold and limp and must have been left over from the night before his lasagne was congealed and looked like what the cat had just thrown up!!

I had ordered scampi, peas and chips the food was stone cold! The scampi you could have used on the golf course and the peas were like marbles! After complaining the staff took my scampi away to re-heat in the microwave don't they know about the dangers of re-heating fish products?? Adding insult to injury the bar staff found the whole sorry affair quite hilarious!!

I'm glad that we made their dreary day a bit brighter than normal.

We will NEVER EVER be see there again and the Brewers Fayre Co should be ashamed of their shoddy staff at their Ebbw Vale establishment SHAMEFUL!!!!

User

Have vouchers for buy one get one free. And they were refused. Child's mean was 20 mins after everyone else's had came. Waitress was rude, attempted taking plates while we were still eating! Also took 25 mins for desserts.
