A true village shop, Brian's General Store is nestled in the centre of Blaenchellau overlooking Fernadle in the Rhondda Fach. It preserves and exemplifies the traditional role of the locally owned and operated 'corner' shop becoming a central hub for village news, history, and events. Brian sells a variety of food, dairy, sweets, freshly baked products, D. I. Y. and house hold goods. Brian's wife, Jen, provides a selection of cakes, pastries, and fresh rolls. Whenever possible Brian relies on local sources for his stock such as Free Range duck and chicken eggs, locally grown veg, and handcrafted gifts made by residents.
