Team Brighter had a ‘flipping’ great day yesterday, enjoying some pancakes and ice-cream masterfully prepared by Nick!

Yesterday we supported Heart Awareness month and Difibruary by wearing red at Brighter Foods, and our Nick Aitken provided free CPR training sessions to our staff and members of the local community!

What a week we've had to round off 2018! In between making bars, we've managed to disco dance, raffle off some great prizes from our suppliers and customers to the staff, welcomed back our lovely Bev Marsh to judge a great gingerbread bake off which was won hands down by Nick Armitt with a stunning gingerbread house! Our new production line has also been delivered and our entire 200+ strong #TeamBrighter have received their Christmas presents! We're all looking forward to a nice Christmas break ready for a busy 2019. Bring it on!

We are delighted to support Ysgol Craig Y Deryn, a local primary school by providing a pile of Read Write Inc phonics books to help the children develop a love of reading 📚❤️

Well done to our budding Chocolatiers Josh and Chris who recently travelled to chocolate makers Barry Callebaut to learn all about the intricacies of tempering!

We were delighted to welcome Gwynedd Council to Brighter Foods last week to visit our factory and hear about our growth plans as part of Gwynedd Council's Business Week initiative.

It was a sad day at Brighter Foods today as we said goodbye to our much loved Shift Manager Bev. Always busy. Always cheerful. She's been with us since the start and will be very sorely missed by the whole team. She's looking forward to taking life a bit easier and spending more time with the grandkids as well as becoming the best school dinner lady that ever existed! Good luck from us all Bev! We'll be calling on you to judge the next Brighter bake off!

PUBLIC OPEN EVENT - 11.30am to 1.30pm Tuesday 18 September. You are invited to see the factory in its current grimy, empty and unloved condition (you have been warned!) before we get to work on completely renovating the building ready for our new production line. We're excited to announce that Brighter Foods has just purchased the old factory units and the Holgates Honey Ice-cream shop. We have ambitious plans to expand and a third production line is on the way. A huge welcome to the Ice cream shop staff to #TeamBrighter especially Honey Bear who's already been showing Robin the ropes! The shop will stay open as normal for all us Honey Ice Cream lovers. Exciting times and lots of new jobs for #Tywyn!

Brighter Foods is the best employer I've ever worked for, and I've had quite a few jobs during my life so far. Now they've given us a pay rise above min wage for which I'm very grateful.
