361 men, women and children are thought to have taken their own lives in the North West so far this year.The region has one of the highest suicide rates in the country. It also has some of the longest waiting times for mental health treatment on the NHS - with some having to wait three times longer than the six w...eek target.
Our club is proud to support those battling mental health issues and our door is always open.

Lots of new additions to the gym. This is something we have all worked hard to achieve through donations and sponsorship. We take pride in our gym and hope that all members enjoy using all equipment. Don't forget to leave the gym area tidy and put away equipment after use! 🥊

Gym has been cleaned today. New Sandbag and Kettle bell rack fitted to remove the equipment from floor making it safe. Also a new dumbbell rack and dumbbells ranging from 10-25kg are now in. Still waiting for a larger medicine ball rack to be delivered to remove all the slam and medicine ball off the floor for good. When you have used any equipment in the gym please put it back where it belongs Thank you!

One of our coaches visited Callan Boxing Club in Kilkenny, Ireland last week. Looking forward to arranging some boxing with them for the lads in the gym over the coming months. Thank you for the training 🥊

Some new pieces of equipment added to the club this week 🥊
Smaller B.O.B for the under 10s, new Gel impact XL bag fitted 115kg. Has a gel out layer behind the leather to reduce impact on your hands.

As we are a voluntary organisation we rely heavily on sponsorship and donations. Without this our club wouldn't be able to run. So we are very grateful to all those that have kindly donated in the past.
We are also thankful to our coaches and members who have worked hard to fundraise.
Over the next few weeks we will be purchasing more new equipment for our members to use. We hope all our members continue to enjoy attending our club and enjoy using the new equipment when it a...rrives.
All we ask is that each member respects our facilities and follows club rules to ensure the safety of all our members. This includes wearing the correct equipment to carry out the sport safely, gum shield, hand wraps, bag gloves, head guard and sparring gloves. For health and hygiene reasons all members must have their own equipment.

All those junior/senior members wanting their medical the doctor will be at the gym Thursday 30th May at 7pm.
Pick up a medical form from Mark or Jim and get it filled in asap with your payment. Forms need to be sent this weekend.
