Budget Vets Blackwood

After hours of the 'busy' tone I gave up. Finally got through the following day and booked an appointment, forgot to ask a question and tried phoning back....... TWO days later, still trying and the 'BUSY' tone is AGAIN the only tone, I've tried different times.... morning, afternoon, teatime and evening......... guys if you are that 'BUSY' you need extra staff, my furbaby will NOT be having his booster with you, obviously not going to get through in an emergency and thats a big worry....... have tried to cancel the appointment but phone is BUSY.

Superb vets all staff excellent can't do enough for the animals. Had 2 rabbits 9 months neutered, saw 4 vets over the week care was outstanding and aftercare excellent. I would definitely recommend this practice after reading reviews was unsure whether to go but just goes to show you need to go off your own experiences. Practice is dated and not massive but I have found my pets were better looked after went to one of the best vets in Caerphilly last year for same procedure and lost one of our rabbits due to poor care so just goes to show most expensive is not always best

LIARS! Will undertake things you have not agreed to. Then send you letters demanding money for things you've already paid for. Then lie to you over and over again about what's been said and what's been done. Receptionist is rude and a liar. The vet is polite BUT ALSO a liar. And the manager doesn't even deserve meriting. One perfect example which was said BY THE MANAGER "that wasn't said! But I wasn't here to know what was said by who" make your mind up love! Useless. Completely useless.
It's also come to my attention now that the "manager" who mouthed off at me is actually not a manager and is using that title. Turns out she's a student vet nurse.

I have an elderly dog (16) and during her life time have used other vets. Over recent years I have used Budget Vets in Blackwood and my dog has received the most excellent treatment, care and attention from Vet Hannah. Her support and duty of care is exceptional, to the point of calling me to advise me of blood test results at 9pm in the evening. The Reception Staff are very efficient, any required medication is issued in minimal time. I cannot recommend more highly.

Small place not very suitable to be a vets! People are squished in one corner to sit and prices are not so "Budget" considering it's called "BUDGET VETS" not a nice place really. I would recommend Summerwood vets it Is a lot more inviting and has separate sitting areas for people who have dogs to cats as my cat gets very agitated around dogs so was a pleasant visit.
No I would not recommend Budget Vets to anyone.

Staff always lovely and friendly.

The worst vets I have ever been to. Dirty, rude staff and left my pet soaking wet, cold and with an open wound inside her travel cage! Go to Valley Vets instead! A thousand times better than this dump!

Nice friendly plas to go with ur dog if he ever gets hill im teling u now x

Amazing, caring staff, thank you for trying so hard to save our miniature schnauzer Evie. Although she didn't pull through the care showed to her and my family was very much appreciated. Thank you x
