Buff’S Social Club,Kilgetty

Sunday Lunch served in the function room between 12: 00 and 2pm, Takeaway lunch is available.
The Bar is open during Sunday lunch if you want to come in just for a drink.
Families always welcome.
2 x Snooker & 1 x Pool Tables in the downstairs bar.

The club is owned by The Brothers of the Enterprise lodge 7893 and looked after by the current Trustee /chairman.

All day to day running of the club etc is managed by the present stewardess - Melanie Caudwell.


Brief History.

The Kilgetty Lodge 7893
(name changed in 1960 to Enterprise Lodge 7893 )
was formed in 1947 by the following founder members.
Bro J. G Hallwood.
Bro G. S. Einon.
Bro F. Gunter.
Bro G. Llewellyn and would meet once a week in the W. I Hut.

Its second home would be the Kilgetty Arms.

In 1953 the decision was taken to build the Social Club on the land that had been purchased which it stands on today, brothers of the Enterprise lodge would spend all their spare time making blocks, transporting the earth away from the site, footings were hand dug.
Bro Allen laid the first block & Bro T. G Griffiths laid a silver coin under it, the club opened in 1957.
Over the years many celebrations, tribute acts & fundraising events have been held in the function room.

Terry Griffiths also made his 1st Public appearance as Snooker world Champion back in 1979 at the club.

All of this was because the founder members made that decision in 1953.
