Byron'S Cafe

Looking forward to a breakfast this morning after driving down from the Lake District this morning. Arrived at the cafe a 0820 to find it closed with no sign of life. Very disappointing.

Very good coffee and lovely staff! They even give cookies for takeaway coffee :).

Well, not to sure how to explain this horrifying ordeal, we stopped for breakfast at Byrons on our way to visit family and it's a cafe that I will never revisit or recommend to anyone. We spent £15 on two big breakfasts and i requested my eggs to be hard, when they arrived my eggs were snotty (whites weren't even cooked), I explained that I asked for hard eggs and the waitresses took my plate away and apologised , when my plate returned my food was steaming so I asked if my plate had been put into the microwave and she said yes and again apologised. My black pudding had suligified , I said I can't eat that and requested my money back. The owner came and threw my money back at me and started pointing in my face. I felt very scared as he got agressive, he shouted get out, I'm disgusted at the food and response and will be getting in touch with the trading standard as he would not give us a full refund. Worst place we've ever had food, freezing cold in there and with the worst possible customer service!
