Benar Cottages are situated in the beautiful Machno Valley, in the Snowdonia National Park.
The Machno Valley is a quiet and peaceful haven just 3 miles from Betws-y-coed.
Benar provides a perfect environment for you to relax and unwind. Spend a day exploring the magnificent countryside and attractions of Snowdonia, and then return to enjoy a barbecue and glass of wine in the evening sun on your own private terrace.
For walkers and cyclists there is direct access from the cottage to Forestry Commission footpaths and mountain bike trails. Bird watchers will love this site as we have a large array of wild birds.

We have stayed at No 3 for so many of our holidays. We love it so much. It is away from all the crowds. It is very suitable for myself my elderly mother and our 2 dogs. Convenient to so many places and we now know a lot of secret places that very few people get to and have a wonderful chilled out quiet holiday away from the hussel and bussel of Betsw-y-coed Which we still spend time there. Looking forward to being back there in October and meeting the new owners.
We have just come back from a very relaxing weekend! Great family time, just what we needed! I loved star gazing, such a beautiful place to watch the universe drift by! I especially loved the storm in the night, wrapped up in the cozy cottage X
We Just got back from our 3rd stay at Benar cottages, I love this place!! stunning location with beautiful views, the cottage was more than I could have wished for, it’s was immaculate throughout with a lovely cosy feel.
I can’t say enough good things about this place, the owners are really nice and extremely helpful when advice on places to visit is needed or if you forgot anything.
4th stay already booked. Can’t wait!
VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Stayed at Y Llaethdy (The Dairy formerly no 3) for the second time and thoroughly loved it. Owners are so friendly and welcoming. Perfectly situated to explore Snowdonia by car and foot. Perfect for walkers. WILL be coming again. Thankyou for all your help and kindness (and almond biscuits! )

Just got back after a brilliant week staying in Bwythn Rhosyn at Benar. This is our third year visiting this lovely peaceful spot, so atmospheric especially in the autumn, it never disappoints and no doubt we will return again.
Had an amazing 2 weeks in Y Llaethdy, did not want to leave! Fantastic cottage, beautiful views and I will be back.... Three times is just not enough. Perfect relaxing break, cannot praise highly enough, and extremely dog friendly <3 thank you :-)
