We close for our summer break from Sunday 19th August and reopen on Tuesday 4th September!

We opened 9 years ago when there were empty units, Old Arcade and Old Orleans (dying a death) Yea! Our beloved Church Street is finally getting a makeover! (Might be time to give our front one too otherwise we'll be the shabby ones on the street - and not as in shabby chic)

To all our customers and potential customers Some of you may or may not have noticed that we were recently awarded a 1 star by Health & Hygiene which we have to display on our window. Please note that this related to part of the infrastructure in our basement and had no bearing or effect on our stringent adherence to health and hygiene practices. The work has been carried out and we are due a revisit when we trust we will return to our high rating. We would like to say that in the meantime (as the visit can take up to three months) we care very much for our business and would like to reassure you all that we put great care and effort into everything we do and are proud of our standards and hope that this will not be detrimental to our business. Thanks for your support and we will keep you updated

Wow, really fabulous food; do try the meatball starter I wanted to lick the dish clean! Can highly recommend the red wine Ferlaia Nero d'Avola Syrah. Staff were welcoming warm and friendly.

What a great place, tucked away in a Cardiff side street. A small restaurant with amazing Italian food. Friendly staff and you can watch your food being prepared as you sip a glass of prosecco. If there was something you would like added to or removed from your dish , the staff were very happy to oblige. The bruschetta from the specials board was delicious, as was a pancake dish( can't remember what it was called an Italian sausage dish that my companions chose and that was followed by my favourite, penne Arriabiatta ( didn't disappoint) pizza, which was huge, linguine amatriciana.

We couldn't resist the desserts ... tiramisu, I shared but I won't the next time and ice cream. All I can add is ... book book book ! A little gem !

We visited Cafe Citta whilst on a visit to Cardiff. Fantastic meal freshly prepared, lovely atmosphere and friendly efficient service. Recommended.

This place is absolutely gorgeous! The food is amazing, the staff are lovely & the boss is fab. So friendly & cosy, full of locals which is always a good sign & highly recommend it, amazing xxx

The food was incredible with so much flavor. Service was fantastic and ever so friendly they were more than happy to help. They have a very varied list off food for people who are quite fussy and it is affordable for what you get. I would rate this to anyone I know and will be returning in the future. Thank you for a fantastic evening

Perfection on a plate.

We had the house red which was great.

A spicy pork pizza from the specials and a cappers anchovies tomatoes and herbs with prawns pasta dish which was out of this world.

Finished off with a cracking tiramisu.

You cant explain how good the food is, you just have to go and try.

It will not disappoint.

Love it. My favourite restaurant in Cardiff. Difficult to get reservations as always busy. Love the special bruchetta.

Just had a lovely 3 course meal with my wife. Walked in off the street after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor managed to get a table by the door as it was full. Would recommend it if you are visiting Cardiff

It was my first visit. Great food and atmosphere. My friends and I really enjoyed ourselves. My only constructive feedback would be that there wasn't much choice of desserts. Having said that, the ice cream was really delicious!

Finally went here for my birthday meal last night, it was a place I'd wanted to go to for years, and I was not in the least disappointed. Great food, very rich and homely and the staff were really friendly and accommodating too. I shall return. Grazie!

Fantastic food, staff very attentive, good value for money, make sure you book so are not disappointed

Every year I go back and it's always just as good. It's a Cardiff institution and long may it last. Pizzas are delicious and massive such value for money. The pasta is so tasty and when they said it has chilli it is spicy. I love it.

Brilliant. All the other reviews say it all. You want delicious, hearty Italian food cooked by Italian chefs who are obviously putting love into what they are doing ( and you watch them do just that )? Then this is where you need to go!

Brilliant little gem of a restaurant. Food was delicious. We had a classic margarita and the swordfish special as a main. Was another great suggestion via tripadvisor.
