These lovely warm evenings are perfect for enjoying an outdoor performance of Shakespeare's 'The Tempest', in the courtyard this Friday and Saturday night at Dare Valley. Cafe Cwtch will be open for drinks and snacks, pre-show meals can also be booked.

It's a busy weekend with lots of exciting events at Cafe Cwtch! On Friday and Saturday evening we have Showcase Sioegerdd performing 'The Importance of Being Earnest' (7pm, tickets available on the door). On Sunday morning we have meet ups by Ford Fanatics South Wales with their 'Fords and Coffee Club' and Driver's Seat - GTFM Classic Car Club, holding their 'Breakfast Club' at the cafe. had a lovely visit to see santa here and must say how brilliant it was. Also had lunch and the food was beautiful. well done Mike and all the staff it really was an enjoyable visit and will be returning again .Would recommend to anyone .

We just took our daughter to see Santa here and it was amazing. She is 1 and was a little nervous at first but he was so patient and softly spoken and she came around to him. His elves were marvellous too. Beautiful grotto and would 100% recommend :D

We just had our 2nd Fords and coffee breakfast meet here and the staff and service are brilliant. there is loads of parking space with a park for the children to play. the view and scenery are just stunning

We had our whole wedding day and evening held here. Mike and all the team we can't thank enough makes you feel at home. Nothing was too much effort. First class venue and service to match can't big you up enough thank you for a magical day all of you love rich & sarah �

Phoned ion last minute to see if there was any possibility of arranging a meal before we watched showcase performing "The importance of being earnest" live at the cafe. No problem, chicken chips and salad was absolutely gorgeous, thoroughly enjoyed it and most probably will also be there for breakfast Monday morning.

Friendly staff, fantastic food lovely and clean. Beautiful countryside, loads to do. Should give coach drivers free coffee, free beans on toast would be even better but the food was so nice I didn't mind paying. (Now that's a first for me lol)

Food is always lovley , we come to Cafe Cwtch most weekends for dinner , staff are really friendly too . I can recommend the cornbeef pie n chips its fantastic !!!! A ++++ �

Banging menu and so reasonably priced. Down side it is off the "beaten track". Well it's bang in the middle of a mega country park!!!!! Two "bangs" in one paragraph - must be good!

After a chilly , damp walk around the Park , the lure of a warm and good food beckoned . Wonderful food , wonderful friendly staff , a must stop off , preferably before and after my next walk is the plan , lol . Heartily recommend you leave enough time to pop into the cwtch , a must visit .

Absolutely amazing seeing Santa on saturday 10/12/16 we were a big family going to see him but that didnt faze santa at all infact he was happy to sit all the children down and chatted to them even feeding my 5 month old granddaughter along the way absolutely brilliant how calm Santa and the Elves were they took some brilliant photos that will be treasured forever, cant thank the Dare Valley Country Park enough what a wonderful time that was had be all we will be back in 2017 until then have a lovely xmas everyone oh one last thing the cafe does a lovely coffee and food at a reasonable price.

A lovely cafe at the Country Park. It is not Posh but food is good and delicious. Many tables inside and outside and although it was quite full there was always a free table. The corned beef pie was very good and the gammon looked tempting. The apple crumble and custard was delicious and the serving was three times as big as the crumble we were served at a very posh restaurant for Mother's Day. We will return and can recommend for freshly cooked tasty food.

A fantastic family day out today at the Cwtch Cafe DVCP! A Fantastic beef roast all made fresh to order with great service! Fantastic day topped off with a trip to see Santa! And in my opinion the best Santa Ever! Great gifts for the children and a friendly and stress free atmosphere! The kids thoroughly enjoyed and with the added bonus of only being a 5 min car journey! Support your local businesses everyone. Thank you to all the staff. See you again soon :)

We ate here before watching a local theatre group perform Dial M for Murder. The food was very nice, really good turkey and ham pie and excellent apple crumble. All made by the cafe. Good food and good service.

The cafe is always clean and tidy and a lovely place to go for a warm when you,ve had a walk around the lake, the food is very nice, always a good choice on the menu and very reasonably priced.

Took my daughter up to the park with my friend and her daughter and thought we would get something little to eat. Was told they are only serving toast and chips, wasn't a problem. So said we would have chips. The young lady went in and said and came back out and my friend then asked are they also doing gravy. To witch then the gentleman himself came out and said " sorry we ain't doing food now, oven is off so can't make any more food and he was off " so we was like that's ok as we did arrive at 4:40pm we will just get some ice cream. After purchasing the ice cream we noticed that the gentlemen that was being us had then purchased chips. So I asked that man who was behind me how had he just ordered chips when me and my friend who was in front of him got told no, oven is off and no more food! I then asked the young lady behind the desk and she also said " I know I just asked myself " so I then spoke to the gentleman who told me he couldn't serve any food and his reply was " well you asked for chips and gravy and I haven't got that " bare in mind we didn't we asked for chips and my friend then asked are they still doing gravy to witch he came out and said " oven is off, no more food and he's leaving " I was offered free chips in this debate with him witch I declined as I just bought ice cream because I was told no more food is being served! A women then also asked him outside are you still cooking food and this was his own words " no we ain't sorry but we did just knock it on for one more customer " My my point was, it wasn't about the chips it was about the fact of how can you tell two customers that you cannot serve them food due to the oven being off etc and then cook food for someone else after them! I was absolutely disgusted by this and will never be using the cafe again. Such a shame!
