Would give 0 stars if possible. Were regulars to beaumaris and on this occasion decided to stop for some chips. Upon entering the shop. The woman behind the counter was extremely unwelcoming and when taking my order I felt like I was causing her to go out of her way. She should maybe look for a job where there's no interaction with humans as she obviously leads a very miserable life and serving people is not her cup of tea.

Reading other reviews people mentioned tourist annoying the locals. Without tourist beaumaris probably wouldn't have half the amenities it has so they should count them selves lucky people visit.

Overall food was ok. Peas were brown not green. But the vile troll behind the till made me not hungry anyway.

Avoid if you don't like rude people.

The fish and chip shop staff are ignorant, rude and don't listen to what you say even when they ask you a question e.g. salt and vinegar? , just salt please I said,even said it twice, nope piles on the vinegar also , she had to do the order again whilst moaning to the other staff at the back . Gave a one star because chips were ok although you don't get much for the price you pay. Even saw the family in fronts order there wasn't much on them either.

Dreadful! Avoid! Had fish and chips yesterday I knew within an hour i wasn't well. Oil taste disgusting. Synthetic, you can taste it straight away. Fish has a very strong taste. Curry same colour as a high viz jacket. Poor. Been ill all night and partner has been. Only ate them because hungry after a day on the beach and didn't see any other chip shop. £6.50 each. There will no doubt be some very ill seagulls as not only us were throwing them away.

..DO NOT CONFUSE THE FISH & CHIP TAKEAWAY WITH THE BISTRO UPSTAIRS - THEY ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT ENTERPRISES..
Loved the food so much we went three nights out of our seven night stay in beaumaris.. the fish pie was gorgeous as was the linguine and the garlic & white wine mussels were to die for.. staff and owners are fantastic, very welcoming and friendly - i would say you should not miss out on the opportunity if you are passing..

Over priced and the staff need to listen to what they are asked for not give what they want to give you. I asked for a simple cod and chips and was given a cone of chips!!! Also when you arrive at take away it's not clear which side to queue at as staff ignore you and are rude. They prefer to talk to the Welsh locals..... Surprise surprise some English people also understand Welsh!! Stop being so rude!! Also say sorry when you have made a mistake... The guy before me was also treated badly when he asked for ketchup as it was not put on his burger.

Gave me serious food poisoning

Firstly the staff are the most rude, arrogant and miserable people I have ever encountered on route in my life. Note the word on routine, it is not a one off. Their attitude is more soggy than the chips they charge obscene prices for.

They clearly treat who they think are tourists with scorn. I used to work in the town and I know first hand that toursits can be annoying but there is no reason to treat them with the contempt the staff here do. They made me feel like I was causing them a nuisance by asking for a fish and chips, heavens forbid a staff member at a chippy being asked for chips. Christ.

The chips are soggy but not in that nice chippy soggy way. The fish is, to be fair, sometimes very nice. Again, the caveat is sometimes. Most of the time it gives the spuds a run for their money in sog rankings.

And then, worst of all, is the absolutely mental price they charge. Let put it this way, you ain't going to get chips, fish and a drink and expect much shrapnel when you get your change of a tenner.

In short, a chippy so miserable and over priced the poor fish are thanking the lord's above that they are dead.

People were miserable, we waited for a fish which was overcooked and got chips that were not fresh and must of been sat there for a while. Not worth £7:50p for one fish chips & peas, very overpriced!

Nice fish and chips with no premium for sitting down inside.
