Caldicot Castle is set in fifty five acres of beautiful Country Park.

Caldicot Castle is open daily from 1st April (or Easter, whichever is earlier) to 30th September inclusive from 11. 00am to 4. 00pm, and on weekends in October. The Castle is then closed from November - March. The Country Park is always open

Please be aware there are currently high water levels throughout the country park, and Great Tower Field is closed off due to flood water. Be extra careful in the park.

On Monday of half term a green maxi micro scooter was left at the castle. It appears to have been taken home by mistake, the little boy who owns it needs it as he has mobility issues. If it could be returned & reunited with its owner that would be amazing! Thank you

Yes, we are going ahead, a little rain never stopped anyone. And there are some tickets still available, just about.
Remember to wrap up warm and wear a coat. Our site team have done there best to keep the grass pristine, but there will be muddy patches around site. Please take care when walking around the country park.

it's the 1st time I've been to the castle it was amazing came there for hogging the bridge which was also my first time but can honestly say it won't be my last.. x

What a beautiful place to visit, great for all

The family & lots of history to.

Highly recommended,

User

The Castle is an excellent place for a visit on your own or with family and friends. I have been twice now and I always find new places to see that I missed the last time. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. Thank you for another wonderful day.

User

Lovely place to stop and have a coffee and snack.

User

Great set up last nite, beer tents and toilets out the way so more people could enjoy the band. They just need to sort out the prices as £5 for a bottle of beer is a bit steep, this is caldicot not Cardiff.

User

Great for a walk with your dog , the grounds are beautiful . Visit the castle which has been tastefully restored . A great place for music, especially inside the castle . It's an ideal venue . Please can we have more пњљ

User

First class venue, great acoustics and the staff were brilliant. Shame you couldn't break the mould & be brave and offer beers & food at a reasonable price. These type of venues really do try & milk the cash out of you & it really does leave a sour taste ...

User

Best cider festival I've been to! And we live in cider country aka Somerset! Very good range of food and drinks available and always impressed with the castle itself such a beautiful and historic sites пњљ we are a big fan of most of the events here definitely fun for all the family!

User

The Perry and Cider festival yesterday was good but felt it wasn't as good as pervious year. For me the music wasn't the best on Saturday (my view) and a little disappointed with how the fizzy section was being served as in you had to buy it by the bottle & couldn't have it by the glass.

Food section was ok but felt there wasn't much selection for children along with sweets etc £2 for a cone that had about 50p worth of sweets in was abit expensive. Will definitely be returning next year as we do love it but thank you for a lovely day and our keepsake glass. X

User

Set in beautiful surroundings. Lots of space for kids and dogs to run and have fun. Only downside was the sandwiches we purchased in the tea shop. We are them as we were hungry but not the best quality if I'm honest especially for the price of £4.50 each.

User

I was there last night for the OCS gig and the bands were fantastic! Really good show. It's a lovely venue and I thought it was well organised. Prices for food and drink are always expensive at gigs ..... annoying but a given. Two small gripes I have is that from the roads it was poorly sign posted - from what I remember only one small yellow sign so could've been bigger or a couple more. The camping area could've been managed better to leave clear exits as some campers just pitched and parked with no thought for people who may have had to leave earlier than them .....

User

Great venue, castle back drop. OCS were incredible! Plenty of portaloos. But drinks & food were far too expensive £5 for a bottle of beer same for a tray of chips. Parking was close but had to pay a £5 online.

User

Gig was very good, shame about the poor traffic management in the drop off/collection field, perhaps a park and ride system would help alleviate this. Also need lighting and marshalls in the neighbouring fields to help direct concert goers to the parking fields. What was also quite disturbing (in light of recent events) was that 3 men were allowed to cover their faces with snoods and caps so they could go sell their bootlegged posters!?!?!

User

Brought my daughter to see little mix, brilliant venue and fab show, only problem was, my daughter and her friend were on the disabled platform and there was a family sat in front of her, the kids were standing and dancing as you would expect but that blocked the view of the stage for daughter, if there are people on the disabled platform who can and will be standing during the concert they should be told to stand at the back or the side and not be allowed to stand up right in front of anyone in a wheelchair or sitting, ruining the concert for others.

User

On Thursday at short notice I had to attend at the Little Mix concert held at the Caldicot Castle event centre to collect my young granddaughter and her mother after they had been let down for their lift home to Pontypridd.

I attended in plenty of time and awaited their coming out of the concert at the David Broome stables area where there were many cars and a number of coaches there were also a number of ' event car park / security staff ' present for what they were worth.

As the event ended and as you can imagine a torrent of little mix fans exited the stage area they descended upon the car park area where after a very short time cars and coached began to leave with very young children and parents by now in total darkness as there was only one tempory portable light in operation mingling with the totally uncontrolled traffic leaving the event how an accident did not occur I am amazed but thankfull ,

It took ages to leave the car park area due to the lack of assistance by the event staff who all but a few (3 approx ) had left.

And to cap it all the event staff allowed the coach drivers to drive their coaches across the grass areas ( not tarmac roads ) in a diagonal direction to the exit in effect cheating the queues causing a lot of bad tempers and horn blowing from other motorists leaving the event.

The reason I am posting this is because it is turkey a miracle how nobody was hurt or even worse and hopefully in future events this can be avoided.

User

Fab venue , loved the fact you could camp in the castle grounds , that there was a pub serving good food a 5 minute walk away , awesome sets by the bands space , and ocean colour scene especially - great set up to be within the walls of the castle .

Only change I would want would be a better choice of drink - carling for £5 a bottle - really ?!?!

Apart from that fab I really hope that another I like plays there so I can repeat the experience пњљ

User

Concert was fine prices for food and drink were hurendus and don't get me started on the camping £12 pp to stay in a field were the grass hasn't been cut for years and having to use porta loos as showers and toilets were blocked off and having to listen to a genarater running all night so we had some light to get to the porta loos but no lights inside to see what your doing then by the morning no toilet paper and most of them full and the smell was awful

User

Attended with my 6 year old for the Little Mix concert and what a nightmare. The instructions on the parking led you to a road that had been closed off, so if you didn't have a sat nav or know the area you were stuffed. You could have done with a loo on the gate of the car park for your staff and people in the queue. Lighting across the fields on the way back was hit and miss. You need more stewards controlling the traffic coming out of the arena and fields. Car parks need to be clearly identified as there were some that had lost their car and were traipsing fields in the dark to find their car.

As for the prices of food and drink inside, it should extortionate! At least Dick Turpin wore a mask. You don't let us bring food and drink in but charge £2 for a small bottle of water, £4.50for ten chips with a handful of cheese and £6 for an egg mayo baguette! Yet we can't not pay it as kids would be hungry and dehydrated!

Would I come back for an event.... Never in a million years.

Would I take my daughter to see any of the acts that played? Absolutely.

User

Well I suppose that's not a really fare score the festival it's self was awesome the bands and all the stalls were amazing пњљ but the camping side of it was horrific FAMILY SITE they called it they really should vet people who go on this site as we had a bunch of animals next to us пњљ smoking drugs first thing in the morningпњљ the worst swear words I've ever heard пњљ up all night arguing and fighting until 3 in the morning and that was only the first night we packed our tent up the following morning and left пњљ never again пњљпњљпњљпњљпњљ
