Calon Heart Defibrillators

Calon Hearts Defibrillators' mission is centered on the prevention and management of heart conditions for people in Wales. We aim to: > Preserve, safeguard and promote the cardiovascular health of all persons in Wales. > Ensure that funds raised in Wales are utilised and distributed within Wales to help benefit local Welsh communities. > Fund the widespread provision of defibrillators and emergency life saving equipment throughout Wales in close partnership with strategic partners. In Wales there are approximately 8, 000 sudden cardiac arrests outside hospital each year. It's shocking that the survival rate is only 3% . Where an AED or defibrillator is used, the survival rate can increase to up to is 74% . Our ultimate goal is to see a defibrillator placed next to every fire extinguisher throughout Wales.
