Went for the mothers day meal today and it was fabulous. . The food was delicious and the staff were brilliant.. the price was so cheap too. Thank you to elle and staff for a lovely day xx
We have just stayed the night again at this hotel We have stayed there several times before as we visit family close by. The staff and cleanliness is always top drawer. Had a meal from the bar which was extremely good. Would stay nowhere else and would thoroughly recommend it.
WE would like to thank every one at the Cambrian for making our weekend special the rooms are so comfortable the staff are so helpful and friendly .
its so clean and fab food and entertainment brilliant that we thinking of visiting you again with a mini bus load thanks Cambrian we will see you soon .

Very clean, modern and beautiful room. High ceiling, chandelier and oak beams in the larger room. Whole pub clean and modern throughout. Recommend 'the famous Cambrian chicken' from the menu if you decide to eat here.
Staff all friendly and efficient. Clientele in the bar are all smartly dressed and very friendly.
If you're looking for a reasonable priced inn at the Brecon Beacons I'd highly recommend

The last time I was in the Cambrian was in 1986, a long time ago.
And it was very different, the bar was straight in front of the door.
I called in with my wife yesterday while visiting Tredegar and I think they have made an excellent job of renovating it, nice atmosphere and friendly staff..
Stayed for one night 19-8/17 lovely room, spotlessly clean and they even put a put you up bed for us as we had an extra guest . Breakfast was fab and plentiful. Great service from Ethan and the rest of the staff and if ever in the area again will not hesitate to stay here.
Just had a fabulous three course Xmas meal. Loads of food, lovely, warm, fab presentation . Would defo recommend trying. And lovely pub been renovated to a high standard X
Had a cracking late lunch at the Cam today! Flipping lovely home made lasagne and chips. Bar staff were nice and polite and the food was lovely. Only problem I had was that the food came so hot I burned my mouth...better than it coming out lukewarm!!

Called in yesterday myself and my other half..never been in before.. straight away i noticed how clean everything looked... when our food arrived it looked lovely and it did not disappoint ... very tasty and we both enjoyed it.. needless to say we will be calling in again.. highly recommend guys.

Lemonade was more like water had to ask twice how long food was has waited well over a hour only then to b told only 1 was working in the kitchen by the time mine and my 5yr grandson s meal came most of the group had finished their food and left my grandson food was then left un touched has he was over tired and passed eating what a waste of money will never go there again
in there 1 hour saw at least 5 lads doing lines of cocaine/white powder in the bogs, on a Sunday night!
This is normal.
if you think the twenty something lads are "on something", yeah they are!

Well after staying the night at the Cambrian before a family wedding I felt I had to write this review. Myself, my mother and my granddaughter stayed in room 6 on a Friday night. We arrived at around 8pm and had to walk through the very noisey pub with my 11 month granddaughter. We were shown to our room which has a step that wasn't marked clearly. My mother fell down the step with the baby and had a nasty injury. The staff were amazing but the step should have been clearly marked. We were then informed there would be an artist this would go on until 11.45. The noise in the room was awful and with a 11 month old trying to sleep this was not good. Our room had patio doors that overlooked the smoking area..... the people outside clearly has no respect for those staying. The noise, language, glass smashing, vomiting and fighting went on outside out room until almost 2am. I have given 1 star purely as the room was lovely, the staff and breakfast were fab. However, I would not advise anyone staying here hoping to get some sleep. Coz we certainly didn't. If you do stay in room 6 beware of the step it could have been a lot worse 😡
Not good at all ordered a sirloin steak but what I got looked like a grey slab of mush .....shocking, the drinks were flat and didn't taste right either!!!
