Cardiff Met Snowsports

Hey everyone 🙂 Another post to remind you guys that a few of us will be heading to Gloucester dry slope for the finals of Kings racing. Kings is a relaxed competitive circuit that runs throughout the academic year for different Snowsports clubs to race each other. The main difference to most competitions is that the spectators tend to outnumber the racers by quite a lot so, for us, it’ll be mostly drinking all day and cheering for whichever team has the best fancy dress. We are offering you the chance to head on up to Gloucester dry slope with Bath snow sports in an unofficial varsity!
... There is a trophy up for grabs! Or if you just want to have few beers and utilise the FREE SKI HIRE or have too many beers and just go sledging and enjoy the freestyle competition then that’s fine with us!
“When is it?“
This WEDNESDAY 17th of April (17.04.19)!
“How do i get there?” - We have organised a mini bus to take you there.
“I don’t have my own equipment!” - Doesn’t matter there is FREE SKI HIRE...
I have plans.. Drop them, it’s a free skiing session!!!
MESSAGE US WITH HOW MANY OF YOU AND YOUR MATES WOULD LIKE TO GO!!!!
We want you to bring as many snowmies as possible and spread the love for skiing across Cardiff!
So we will have races, slaloms and friendly competitions with loads of beer and load music turning this into a mini piss up on the fake snow! This is the first ever Cardiff Met snow sports event so even if you can only sledge please make an effort and be apart of something thats hopefully going to become a something bigger than we could hope for.
None skiers or snowboarders welcome, there will be some top skiers from all over, showing off there steeze let’s get a crowd and make cardiff met proud..

Hey everyone, as mentioned, tomorrow is our Give It A Go session with Usw Snowsports Aimed at people who have never tried skiing or snowboarding, this FREE event will give you a taste of either sport. You don't need to be a member to come along so bring anyone who you think might fancy it. Lessons will start at 2pm so aim get down a bit before to get kitted up. If you want lessons, you must fill in the form provided within the event page. For those of you that can ski/board already, you're welcome to get on the slope too to see how much you can remember after the Christmas trip. Other than that, come down and have a couple beers, boogie to the music. Looking forward to seeing you there :)
