In 2019, for the first time ever, Quakers in Britain will be at Glastonbury Festival (official)!
We are delighted to announce that we will be running a Quaker space in the Green Futures fields. And the good news doesn't end there – we're also looking for volunteers to help us with:
⭐️ Sharing our concern to create a culture of welcome for refugees and migrants
... ⭐️ Providing space for people to find out about Quakerism and experience short periods of silent worship
⭐️ Offering a one-to-one spiritual listening service (full training provided)
If you are aged 18-35 and would like to be part of the Quaker presence at Glastonbury this year, please send an email to naomim@quaker.org.uk by Wednesday 17 April. Time is ticking and availability is limited, so don't wait to get in touch!

This Friday, March 29th, Quakers across Europe are holding a joint meeting for worship. The Quaker Council for European Affairs (QCEA) is inviting all Friends to connect online to a MfW being held close to the European Commission. The meeting is neither pro- nor anti-Brexit, but recognises Brexit’s significance for many people and the need for healing and reconciliation whatever happens. Please register to connect with the MfW at the link:

"The Society of Friends should be welcoming and affirming of trans and non-binary people."
Young Friends General Meeting (Quakers aged 18–30ish) have reached a discerned position on trans and non-binary inclusion. They "offer this to the Society with excitement and hope, noting our joy as a community to affirm our love and inclusion of all friends of diverse genders within and beyond the gender binary."
Read the full statement at: yfgm.quaker.org.uk/docs/trans-and-non-bin ary-...statement/
*** Quakers are continuing to discuss, learn and reflect together on gender diversity.
